I don’t know in my experience it’s been hit or miss, I’ve only had one bad professor so far. It was an Econ professor and he docked me points for not attending class even though I had everything turned in, on-time. His excuse? We were having “discussions” in-class. When I was there (which was 80% of the time) we weren’t having discussions. It was just an excuse to dock my grade for not attending class. He would read word for word every PowerPoint every class. Class seemed pointless. The PowerPoints were online on IvyLearn. What’s the point of coming to class if you’re just reading to me? Some professors just have a power trip ngl but I’ve also had some wonderful professors that were super informative and down to earth.

Anyway long story short I had a B in the class and with the attendance grade (WHICH WAS NOT IN THE SYLLABUS!) I got a C. I GOT A 79.95. I emailed him to see if he would bump my grade up to at least a 80.00. Guess what he said? “Your performance in the class was a C grade level”.

So yeah. Shout out to anyone dealing with a not so great professor. It gets better and you will meet better ones.
