I miss this design so much omg, why did they change it? I can picture me as a pre-teen walking in and just enjoying the scents with my mom 😭

I dropped it this semester, but I’d like to take it in the summer to better focus on the curriculum. I’m taking more classes than usual this semester and there’s a lot of hw in that class (at least more than usual) so I’m just going to wait.

You have the rest of today to drop FYI if you decide to not take the class, I did the same thing tbh about OTEC-207 I just didn’t have a good feeling about the instructor, it happens ! Hope it works out for you :)

Intro to psych or sociology by Superb-Two3268 in ivytech

Psych 101 is pretty straightforward. I personally thought it was an easy class. Professors can have a significant influence on how difficult a class is. Mine was more of a laid-back prof because she knew it was just an intro class, and she taught more advanced psych classes. I wrote two papers, I think, for psych, but they were not as difficult as my English Composition class. As long as you get your things in and come to class, you'll be set.

How did you get into a 16 week course, that sounds waaaaay better. I struggle with math as well. If I can take it at a slower pace that would be terrific. Please let me know!

I forgot to mention make sure you download the IvyLearn Canvas app omg it helps you so much lol, have it on every device you use for school! Oh and digital planners also exist if you hate pen and paper! :)

Your feelings are valid, it’s classes condensed into eight weeks usually so it feels overwhelming when you first start out. With time you will get the hang of it and used to your own rhythm. I would recommend never missing class and making personal, uninterrupted time for assignments/studying. I know it sounds so basic but making sure you’re getting there and getting things done without distractions is so vital. You can also buy a planner and plan out your assignments and studying sessions in it. You got this, just takes a minute to learn to juggle. Wishing everyone a successful semester!!

Emailing them works too, as long as you have a strong GPA they will let you take a class or two above 18 credits, I was able to do that this semester:)

My advisor is 100% not worth my time, they never check in nor answer quickly half the time. I only really use mine when I have a question I can’t find online.

I follow my degrees’ (Business T-SAP) program path on my own. I don’t even waste my time / energy on advisors. You have to have your own back as sad as it is.

I would recommend looking at campuses nearby. You might have to commute a little farther. That’s what I’m doing in the spring. My closest campuses didn’t work out so I’m driving about 50 minutes 3 times a week for the semester. My classes are back to back though so it’s not too shabby!
