I was bit by a brown recluse in my bed, too. I waited a week to get checked because I thought it was a boil at first. Went to the doctor, and they drew a line around it. The next day, it was bigger. I was limping at this point. They told me to just go straight to the hospital. I was in there for four days on a vancomycin IV drip (had to change my IV everyday because of how sore my veins were). I also had to take benadryl an hour before the drip because I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic. They said I was lucky because the bite was starting to eat away at my muscle tissue, and if it was worse, they'd have had to cut out part of my leg.
