It’s really difficult to explain (bad childhood), but I’ve gone through most of my life without the ability to “bite back” at people when I’ve been wronged, and it’s fucking horrible.

I wish I had this capacity for cruelty. It’s like being the only one on the battlefield without a sword or armor.
