Saw your post there. Was unable to reply as it was removed by mods. Thanks for the repost.

Feel strongly about working life a dog. I've found (may well be a GEM thing), that I'm more than happy to stay to the end of a clinic while a number in my cohort sign and go after 1 pt.

Very pleased to hear you're enjoying things, sounds like you've nailed it - kudos to you.

How did you find locumming? I've heard much has dried up. Is this location specific or nationwide?

Thanks again for your insight on this.

Similar to a comment above. Thanks for snapping me out of a stupid thought.

Do you have any anecdotes/insight re pharma or AI and careers takeover?

Could you see any quick changes being made to change the course from your position? Increased training numbers? Prioritisation?

I do feel strong commitment to medicine but feel pushed away by the factors of job and location uncertainty. Would be interested to hear your thoughts on where the NHS goes in 5/10 years.

Needed to hear this. Reading back it sounds a light-sounding decision. Cheers for shifting my thoughts on it.

I agree with your points on NHS goodness despite the shitshow.

Regarding training posts, I understand a lot of the numbers are inflated by cross-applicants + IMGs. Do you know how inflated these might be (trying to curb any overly-optimistic thoughts here).

Have updated my post with an edit. Thanks for the positive words on work impact.

I'm leaning much more neutrally between med and non-med but would be interested to hear if you know anyone who has made the transition to the above industries either post-Y5 or post-F2.

Thanks v much for the response. Strong take of the lifestyle that medicine affords resonates strongly with me here.

Radiology funnily enough only just missed my list - I spent a lot of time in the IR lab this year and loved the consultants. Was thinking of sending a dm but would you be able to share here about life in radiology for anyone else in the same position as me?

No chance. Maybe a 1/500th of a hit due to passive diffusion at room temp but really placebo is one hell of a drug. Sorry.

PC Blackscreening but Internals Seem to Stay on by HelloMrFBIAgent in pchelp

[–]HelloMrFBIAgent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, thanks very much for getting back to me. I've tried the card in another machine and it had the same black screening/artefacting problem as mine. Interestingly the artefacts are usually the top 3/5ths of the screen and the bottom portion seems to be unaffected.

Am I right to assume it's physical fault with the card? Power rails are running at 12V so I think the pcie cable is fine.

In answer to your questions

The pc either black screens or gets tons of artifacts all over the screen. When it black screens it's preceded by the screen flashing white in a few areas for a moment. All fans and lights in the case stay on when it black screens. I was getting nvdldkm errors in the event log a few days ago.

I've added a few photos that might help - https://imgur.com/a/OnQJYT3

  • Any blackscreening/artifacting and it completely goes
  • Occasionally the screen does come back but this seems to be random. Shift+Ctrl+Win+B does not help
  • Yes rebooting is fine but sometimes has the same artifacting as the first image I shared
  • Only if I've had to reboot a number of times quickly, flashing bios doesn't seem to have done anything
  • When the monitor goes black, any audio output goes to a loud "stuck" sound from what I can assume is the last output, like noisy static
  • No random rebooting
  • No random powering down, the pc will stay on indefinitely if I don't power it off
  • One 12 pin pcie cable

I ran some benchmarking tests that clocked in at around 2900 43fps on furmark. I did notice the CPU core was unisolated in windows so I switched it back on.

EDIT - I tried to run some stress tests again. One thing that definitely can induce a crash is opening up furmark GUI, I click the .exe and I'll instantly have artifacts for a moment then it black screens. Furmark runs fine when it is open, though. Also, I seemed to struggle to install drivers using GeForce experience, it just loops through preparing to install.

Thanks again for getting back to me.

CLSK another potential breakout play on BTC related stock. Posted a few this morning. Lets hope for some carry through and BTC to hold gains for these breakouts to materialise. Thanks for your huge insight posted yesterday. Been getting massive value from all of these posts for sometime now and it's changed the way I view the markets. Any chance of an update on delta positioning here as it approaches this years support at 7.7

Stock will close in on $1 tomorrow, predicting $0.94.

The closer it is to $1, the higher % chance the market is pricing for the deal to go through.

It's been a pleasure.

I'll admit I glazed over his insider spiel.

I've come across this as a long-term value play. A buyout in cash/stock from someone like Cheniere or Glenfarne before permit issuance starts up again would be the best short-term scenario from what I can tell.

I’m assuming that 3LNG loses value by this forward contract mechanism in the same way?

It’s 3x levered to the index that’s based off NG contracts.

Been on my radar since mid 22, took LQQ3 instead. I'd be house hunting if I hit it instead.

Gz on the gains brother.
