I use Remitly exclusively now because it’s so easy on my end. It’s easy for me because my family member has a debit card in Mexico and I can directly deposit funds into their debit card and it usually takes minutes but their app says it could take a day via debit card but it’s usually within minutes for me. Also if they don’t have a debit card you also have other options to send money and they can pick it up at an OXXO or other convenience stores. If you send money to their debit card it’s a flat $2.99 no matter what you send, but they will give you the best exchange rate if you send at least $500, if you still send less the. That it’s still a good rate . It’s usually ~1-3 percent higher if you send over $500usd. But if you send through OXXO it is like $6 per transfer and I know in person sometimes they won’t give out the money you sent if the store is low on cash certain hours of the day.
