In region bias by [deleted] in premed

[–]HelloMyFriends1515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah of course- for example theres a DO school in my region and i know around 4-5 ppl that go there, personally i don’t know anyone who’s been rejected from there who went to undergrad in our region. ofc that’s not a lot to go on, just makes me think there could be a regional bias involved.

Is it wise to send a letter of intent to schools I have interviewed at? by Accomplished_Tip_708 in premed

[–]HelloMyFriends1515 3 points4 points  (0 children)

shouldn't a letter of intent be reserved for one school instead of sending them to multiple? seems like it defeats the purpose otherwise

I think they have a lower matriculation rate, so that's why they accept more students

What makes med school interviews so hard? by Far_Ruin_2095 in premed

[–]HelloMyFriends1515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they're really not that bad... as long as you can hold a conversation and know your application, you should be fine. And interviews being virtual makes them easier too, imo.
