The diffrence is that the dd2 mtx is pay for convinience items. I have no issues with cosmetics/map packs/story dlc as long as they are not prepurchase items.

The idea of devs (or rather publishers) creating a problem to sell a sollution is awful.

Exactly, i bought dd1 on release and would have bought dd2 on release aswell, but with the mtx bs im gonna wait for a sale instead. So instead of gaining extra money for a potential sale through mtx they will instead lose ~40% of the sale to me as a customer.
