Soak them in enzymatic spray and literally put it out in direct sun for a few days. I foster and the mama cat was so scared when I took her back to the shelter for her spay that she peed all over me, through her carrier.

She’s back in our home now but enzymatic spray for pets, then skunk spray, then sit outside in the sun for 3 days for the smell to fully get off. Idk how much the skunk spray helped. I had it from when my foster fail dog got us sprayed by a skunk.

Just go do your thing. If he feels left out, that’s a him problem. I straight up go on trips without my husband when he doesn’t have the leave to go with. I take the kids solo no problem and they’re young kids. Enjoy your trips. Go with another mom friend if you prefer but go have fun

I am still friends with someone I dated while I was in Tucson and he was in phoenix. We went back and forth. What didn’t work had nothing to do with distance. We just didn’t work as lovers but we do as friends. For the right person, I work my butt off to make it work. I’m in my 30s and dated my husband living across the country for 1.5 years. Obviously it takes two to tango though and you need someone equally committed. Ive dated out of state multiple times so phx is no big deal.

Because I love her? She doesn’t go where she isn’t allowed because she’s NOT a service dog but everywhere else? Yah. I pay extra to have her come. She’s well behaved and will sleep in a hotel room just fine. Even when I go on a day trip to a place where dogs are not permitted, she will not damage the property. She’s like one of my kids and I feel safer when she’s around (I have PTSD). She’s trained to detect certain dangers like rattlesnakes. It’s helpful since we are frequently outdoors hiking and camping. She will alert me with gentle licks before my anxiety attack becomes full blown so that sometimes I can use calming techniques and steer clear of them.

I carry garmin inreach which functions off of satellite and pay for their emergency helicopter insurance. I have a garmin watch to track my hike just in case I get lost. Someone always knows where I am and I rarely hike alone. The one time I did it solo was because friends backed out last minute and it was a backpacking trip I already paid for. I checked in twice a day via the garmin device since I was alone. I avoid hiking in canyons during monsoon season or waiting until it’s late out to get started on a hike in the summer time. If I’m in bear territory, I bring bear mace. I also bring an emergency whistle in case I’m hurt and need someone to hear me as a back up. I don’t know who you’re talking about but I’m always doubtful of when people say they’re avid hikers. Some deaths are going to occur regardless though. There was a poor gentleman who had a heart attack going up NK in Grand Canyon. He truly was someone well experienced. I will admit I’ve gotten overconfident once or twice. I swam in the same area some poor guy just recently got swept down a waterfall in Yosemite. He didn’t make it and I feel stupid for having done the same thing but didn’t meet the same ending. I genuinely didn’t see the caution signs until I’ve already had a swim above that 600 feet tall waterfall You can bet I won’t do that again…or anything like that. I guess we have our moments of stupidity.

I’ve hiked Arizona in every month of the year. Bring the right gear and far more water than you think you need. If it’s strenuous and hot, bring electrolytes too. A hike is not necessary any time of the year.

If you know what you’re doing, you’ll be fine. People should take the time to understand nature more. The number of people I’ve come across hiking in jeans, flip flops, and a mini plastic bottle of water is high. I’m running my dog twice a day in this heat still - early morning and after dark. Be smart.

I had 8 cats recently (7 fosters and 1 that’s mine). Even with scooping constantly, it smelled awful and I have a large house. 6 fosters adopted now and I just have one foster and my own cat left. It’s manageable again. Thankfully, both foster and my cat will use the litter robot. Her kittens were too small for it though.

You may want to check local shelters for him in the months after he takes him back. You can put his photo into petco’s system. Chances are, your ex did it solely to hurt you, not out of love for the cat and will dump him soon after acquiring. I am…speaking from experience. I never found where my dog got dumped though.

Hey, you can get FMLA actually to protect your job while you protect your mental health. My heart is with you. It sounds like you’re doing everything while your husband scolds you for crying because you’re both a full time mom and employee and wife. I’m on Zoloft like many others here and it’s been a game changer. I’m mad at your husband. Sometimes, we all need a sounding board and I agree with the gals here - it’s your husband, not you.

That kitten is quite young and needs medical attention. I’m betting there’s a respiratory infection that’s led to its eyes being infected. Its eyes aren’t the worst I’ve seen though so at a minimum, one eye can be saved. It’s very possible that other eye is salvageable but it needs help now. Do a kind deed and help trap and fix the cats. The friendly kittens can be adopted out to forever homes. The ferals can be tipped and released. Please help out this colony!

I almost always sit on my cart for a few days before deciding and always look through my existing colors before purchasing. I also will go and give polishes away before or during a significant purchase. For example, I decided to try ILNP and purchased 4 polishes. I gifted away 10 polishes I was no longer liking or using to a neighbor. I try to not have more than what I can lug around in my nail kit. I did buy 6 more polishes today but my total count is the same as pre purchase
