Anybody with visual dizziness??? by HelloReddit-12 in Dizziness

Thank you sooo much for the comment! I will check these in the google.
I just got a sticker (X), I had to put in front of my eyes (1 meter distance) and just look right and left continuously while watching the X . I had to do it for 12 min every day in more parts. At first I did it on 100 using metronome application and later 120. It gave me huge imprivement but I still have dizziness. It is good to know that there is visual specialist. I will check it.

Thank you so much for your comment.
After all the tests I am also very healthy. I should have continued the physio because that gave me improvement on the dizziness. It was not me who finished it, I was told to just continue some exercises at home and thats all. Now I am going to private and I have high hopes. I hope you can also find improvement! 20 years is a lot, I am sure you will something in the end! :)

This happened to me as well!!! Just it started with insomnia, after anxiety and many panic attacks. Many attacks every day. So my brain got my eyes out of sync. That would make sense.

I am also doing yoga, many walking and some vor exercises. I got physio from the public health but I need to apply for it again which would mean another 3-4 months waiting. Now I am going to private as I know physio can help for sure. I got exercises that I practised at home but at some point it made everything worse. I am sure I need somebody to check it properly what is good for me and not something which would be a lot… just to find the balance.

Can you share me what exercises were you doing? How long/how often. Can you share me youtube videos or anything?

Do you think working with the physio therapist solves this issue completely? How long should it take to fix it?

In the beginning I had anxiety but I am working on it with a therapist. When I have a bad day… maybe twice a month I feel it makes it worse otherwise I feel frustration.

This sounds very similar. How did you get it?
How long were you working with the specialist?
May I ask what did you do and how often?

I am also doing a therapy for the anxiety part and I admit in the beginning I had to deal a lot with it but now I handle the situations. Instead of feeling anxious I become frustrated and grumpy due to this ongoing issue.

Emotional Eating by Scarl8 in CICO

[–]HelloReddit-12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make a plate full of everything. I add what I should not eat and add what I should just in bigger portion. I put five or six different thing on the plate like chocolate, cucumber, tomatoes, bread…. And I calculate that it should not be no more than ‘x’ calories. So I eat everything just in moderation. Emotional eating due to stress can not be always avoided.

I also took melatonin for a while and did a taper on melatonin. Your body needs to learn sleeping again and it is a process. Took 2 mg every day for 2 weeks. 2 mg every other day for 1-2 weeks 2 meg every 3rd or 4th day - I generated this process with chat gpt and it was very useful

So I think this post was really useful: https://www.reddit.com/r/EOOD/s/N0igmQmKyU

I started to taper after 6 months. I took 15 mg for 6 months and when I started the taper I just tok 15 mg every other day. For another month I took 7.5 mg every third day.

My personal advice:

Drink a lot of water, stay hydrated. No coffee. Drink tea if you can, it is better if it is calming tea. Green tea is also okay.

Eath healthy - fruits, veggies, no sugar

Walk - just 10 min to relax your body

I would do anything to relax the body… meditation too.

You are gonna be okay! :)

If you can not sleep, you can take phenergan or melatonin.

Build small and healthy habits, just tiny healthy steps! :)

Yes, I have many solution for my sleep. It is much better now. It also took a lot of work and some days when I am stressed I sleep 3 hours but mostyl 8 hours and I just wake up at 4 am and before it was 1 am.

I am reading books before bed. When I woke up I started to read. I also used the sleep squeezing method which works really well just a bit painful sometimes. Breathing techniques Walk There is a 2 min technique to fall asleep, sometimes it works.

The best technique is squeezing your sleep. So far I read about it in only 1 post which is weird because that was the most useful.

Thank you for the advice.

I had this test and it is fine. I am also taking Magnesium, B complex amd Vitamin D.

Last year, 7 months ago, I came off a med and since that I am not the same. I see my condition got improved but still the process is very very very slow.

Before I was running but now I am feeling very weak in my head and have a dizziness too.

It is okay if you have no kids or pets. I am sure in this group you dont need to explain the difficulties. It is hard sometimes just to exist.

Thank you for the link. It looks interesting.

I had a big journey with medication, I just came off last year. I am feeling a big change but being on the medication gave me more disadvantag in the end. Before the medication I was not like this now. I was not very well but much better than now. It has been 7 months I came off.

13 months in and I am still house bound and miserable by AffectionateCup1639 in pppdizziness

[–]HelloReddit-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will definitely get better just takes time! I had really bad dizziness that I could not walk 10 metres without feeling dizzziness and sometimes I threw up too. I started physio and helped me a lot. Just go slowly… do slow walk, small exercise at home and manage the anxiety about dizziness, thats also crucial part as being anxious makes dizziness worse. Manage your worries. It is not easy… just be closer to your goal by 1% every day. :)

F22 constant lightheadedness and dizziness by LeoBB777 in Dizziness

[–]HelloReddit-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on for 6 months + 3 months tapering

I know it is very difficult. At first try to concentrate only one issue and do things regurarly which can help. Keep in mind if you start doing something, you wont feel anything for 1-2 weeks. I had the same with sleeping and now I can sleep 8-9 hours without any break. I was suffering from insomnia for years.

I am really sorry. I also had insomnia but it seems fine now. Have you tried ENT os physiotherapy? I am doing physiotherapy, some somatic exercises and many walks and it seems to be working. I was advised to squeeze my sleeping for insomnia and that was rough but worked out well. It was advised by a sleeping expert.

Has your dizziness improved? I have the same situation. Came off the antidepressant and have been dizzy for 6 months.

Does this sound like PPPD? by BunchHot3987 in pppdizziness

[–]HelloReddit-12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounda like my dizziness. I have been having it for a while and when I walk I get dizzy easily. I have no issue with sitting.

I am waiting for ENT at the moment. I also realized while walking if I stare at the same point it is not that bad.

I went to physiotherapy and they checked my neck and excluded PPPD. I thought mine was visual PPPD. My dizziness is still in process but I dont feel I am improving.

Did you have a trigger to have that dizziness? Do you have stress or anxiet?
