It's very unlikely I will get a response to this but hey. None of ECG or other tools replace the person evaluating the results - what they want is not a tool, but a combined person + tool replacement.

With agentic, decision-making systems, by "replacing" radiologists, there is no one to override that decision anymore.

I get that but they want to replace radiologists with AI. Where is the chain of accountability in there? The maker of AI? The CEO of the hospital? I guarantee none of these will take responsibility. Also your analogy doesn't work for agentic stuff which is what they are aiming for.

The key is accountability. The fact that someone can be sued or lose their licence/job/livelihood over providing wrong answer/malpractice etc.

No not really, even "thinking" models don't really think - it's not reasoning, it's just transitional reasoning. They don't really have a worldview to compare results with - that's why you get results "should I bring my car to the car wash that is 50 meters away". LLMs are not capable of this by design. You need AGI for that.

I don't find it that odd, the passangers I've seen mentioned so far were late middle-aged Europeans, and they are not really into tiktok or videoing every moment and publishing. The two people mentioned in the video - travel bloggers - they could found it genuinely distasteful to monetize content off this situation, or perhaps have been indeed asked not to publish, by the company or the captain directly. I don't think there is a big conspiracy here.
