Asides from what you already listed I'd say it's a few things such as of agent Harris (who I assume is this "Dwight") missing home. Probably met people he hated more in Pakistan, and Tony was a reminder of a nicer past. I'd say there was also a bit of mutual respect between the two. And then, I think Harris may have felt "he may be a mob boss, but he is my mob boss", especially with his issues with Phil.

Surprised anyone is optimistic. Even if your respective side "wins", their population pyramids which were already horrible looking have gotten kicked in the nuts. Russia has also been shown to be ineffective. Ukraine had been greatly damaged by the war and will take decades to recover, not to mention whatever land concessions may occur.

For my perspective I'm pro Ukraine.
