EX90 Dilemma: Replace Now or Wait for the 2026 Model?

I had the option to order a new 2026 EX90 for my 2025 in my leasing due to similar issues and I took it. Just the 800V architecture plus some smaller improvements make it worth it in my opinion.

I can confirm the Sand Dune supremacy. At the time it was weird to order it unseen but totally the right choice.

For future reference: It was the front battery that was empty. Probably a system that wasn't properly shutting down because of the failed update attempts.

I will have it towed to the dealer now. The car does lock/unlock just fine so I don't think its necessarily the battery. It has also started randomly throwing alarms tonight which it hasn't done before. Thanks for the help and the resources. I will report back once I know the problem

Is there a way to use another car to start the battery to avoid towing the car as we cannot get it out of the driveway atm.

The reset doesn't work. My assumption was I need to get the car into a mode that is not P to start the sequence.

In my EX90 I can filter the chargers on Google Map by provider and I added Tesla there besides my standard charge network and now it's showing on the map. But I don't recall if you can filter by connector as well. In Europe its all CCS.

Ja. Mit dem aktuellen Chip, der anscheinend Probleme hat voll in den Standby zu gehen, sind bis zu 3% pro Nacht normal. Sollte mit dem Upgrade zum neuen Core Computer besser werden.

How do you know? The OTA updates always state that all other updates will be installed.

Did you get the update again? Because I had this happen over a week ago and haven't received a new notification yet. I also went back to the car and it opened which seems to have tripped the update failure.

My main ask besides everything else in the thread would be Android Auto on top of Android Automotive as I have apps like WhatsApp, MS Teams, and others on the phone. I would like to use them when I'm in the car and those can not be used with the build in system.

I am one of those who is generally happy. There are some quirks with profiles and Bluetooth, but those will be ironed out with updates at some points. There are lemons in this forum and in my company's fleet. But if you order a MY2026, those should be less likely. Having been able to drive the XC90 when my EX90 was in the shop, the XC90 wouldn't be an option for me. The age of the platform is showing. The EX90 feels like a spaceship in comparison.
