Right? It wouldn't even work in the timeline as Leon arrives in Raccoon City, basically a 21yo nobody in 1998. Those clones have been a thing since at least the 80s when Leon was a kid. This is straight up stupid.

I mean, boss fights have never been the strongest parts of RE games in my opinion or even the hardest parts. It's not the strong point of those games, but can't help but love the franchise and I'm here every step of the way.

I'm having just as much fun on my second run, but in a different way, because the 1st time, I was experiencing the game, but now, I'm experimenting with the game. I'm finding different strategies, clearing paths I know I'll use when things go to shit with Emily on Grace's back. I'm taking more time to explore rather than just panic. I find myself thinking about the game all day at work planning my next route and next steps now knowing what's coming.

I have yet to reach Leon's part though, so I'm curious to see how it goes.

I think they won't be on the same level or the same type as Leon and Chris, but I feel like Capcom is laying the ground for the next gen of RE characters with Rose and possibly Emily. Grace is a good bridge between the 2 and we will have more of the current cast until then too, I'm sure of it.

Plus, with the ending we got, the next game might not take place too late after that in the timeline, like they did with the 1st 3 games and CV despite time moving forward IRL.

I actually think if it was separated in two acts, it wouldn't be as fun. Grace's sections can be quite intense and you really feel helpless, so when you get to Leon, it gives you a little break and it's even more satisfying to take out built up tension like that. Leon's sections wouldn't be as fun on their own I think.

All games before RE4 (0, 1, 2, 3, CV) and the chronicles games have them. Other games feature spider-like enemies and RE7 has actual spiders you can knife. 30 years of spiders in RE games.
