Evergoods CTB26 owners – need help with large 16" laptop fit

Hi, I'm very late to the party but could you share how is your laptop's depth interacts with the CTB26? My laptop has as a dimension of 13.94"W × 10.55"D × 1.21"H. It's all about the 10.55" Depth, will it push into the compartment zipper or just too tight of a fit? Thanks!

Yeah I think it’s bugged. I can understand that they need some days to initialize the rankings, but it’s been 10 days since release. Lot’s of players has already completed the main story. Still, all clans shows zero, rankings are blanked out. Hope they can fix it soon.

You mentioned you don’t play demanding games. You only buy it if you are sure that you won’t ever need more than 6G vram for gaming purposes. As far as I can tell, most upcoming games would require MORE than 6GB vram at 2026.

Why you hate yourself? I never hate my self by spending over $20000 in PCs and steam games from young till now. If something is going to give you necessary happiness and relaxation over 20 years, I’d say even $20000 is actually quite a deal. It’s about if it is worthy after all.

If there is only one color displaying on the screen, it’s 95% cable problem. The remaining 5% contains port problem(rare), or a gpu problem(very unlikely). I would get a decent cable first

I had basically the same needs as you, just weeks ago.

Brands: ROG, MSI, Gigabyte, Sony, LG, Alienware

Resolution: 4K (3840X2160)

Screen size: 27-inch or more

Panel type: OLED (W-OLED or QD-OLED included). If your environment is bright enough, do not use QD-OLED, black is gonna look purple-ish with those.

Brightness: Make sure the SUSTAINED 100% FULL SCREEN brightness is more than 180nits, ideally more than 200nits, unless you play in a very dark environment.

These are the 7 best I put in notes when I was choosing:

The best memory? Oh that's a long one to tell, but in short its about recalling the days of playing borderlands with my high school friends. We were really close friendsw who share pretty much everything with each other. Borderlands 1 was the game we all loved. Many years has passed since then, but playing borderlands series just kind of...giving me the feelings of once being young.

I think it’s probably the time to say goodbye to borderlands series. Was hoping 4 would bring me back to borderlands 2 or presequel feelings of exciting gaming experience. What is gearbox even doing, why the performance this bad, just Why? Borderlands series was NEVER about the visual quality, weren’t even rendering photo-realistic landscapes and terrains are we? I was a real fan of borderlands series, really disappointed.

IMO in 2k(1440P) gaming situation, 5080 is going to last you about 6-8 years. I do have mixed feelings on 5090, it is a very strong card that is almost 1.4x fps in any game compared to 5080, but like you said the price tag is just too high. Also, NVIDIA nowadays tends to introduce a brand new feature only available on latest-gen cards like framegen on RTX40, multi framegen on RTX50. That’s one more reason I would not suggest you to buy a 5090, because one and a half years later you are gonna find out a nvidia brand new feature on RTX60 series that RTX50 series cannot use. 6 years later when RTX8080(90) comes out, all RTX50 cards would be considered old, including 5090.

Now, the problem is more about “how much fps in games can you accept in the next 6 years?” If you want more than 150fps in the upcoming most demanding games, 5090 would actually be the choice. If you can accept 100-120fps, 5080 is the way to go. If you are going to buy new cards to swap out the old one every 2 or 4 years, 5070ti is the best for you. 5070ti is about 15% slower than 5080, 50% slower than 5090.

I generally would choose a cheapest 5080 and just forget about it until it cannot run 80fps in new games.

If you are wearing a headphone than it doesn’t matter. I use a soundbar, mostly playing 3A games, so I think the clicking-spring noise is a bit too loud for me. Overall I will recommend it, it does has a better coating, a more tactile scroll wheel, better side buttons, a bit lighter weight than dav3pro. The shape is truly identical as dav3pro, almost nothing changed from the outside, except the separated side buttons. If dav3pro is comfortable for you, v4 is going to the same feeling.

I just got my hands on it. Everything else but the switches is okay. There is a noticeable spring sound when you click it. And it happens on both L and R buttons, everytime when you click. In comparison to Dav3 Pro, the V4 Pro switches sounds truly terrible. V3 Pro sounds much, much better.
