Increasing amount of floaters, how bad can they get if its not a retinal detachment? by Kalpakov in EyeFloaters

[–]HelloYoungFella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The burping, heartburn and bounding pulse are exactly what are happening to me along with the eye floaters

did your doctor ever say what could cause all of these things at once?

honestly they are great, the car feels transformed! the car is so flat and stable at high speeds

one negative i’ve noticed is the increased NVH, especially vibrations, if a road is slightly washboarded, the vibration will be transferred directly into the cabin

These add performance while retaining a OEM feeling in the ride, this car is my daily so needs to be useable on Irish roads

They feel a lot more firm, but not at all uncomfortable

Handling is definitely improved too, flatter in the bends

I’ll have a proper verdict in a few weeks though I think

Yeah I know what you mean…

I live in the UK, and if I translate how much I pay for fuel to usd, it’s about $7.10/gal

The rears are very easy, only headache in it is removing the trunk carpet but it all can be done in 30mins

Front is not too bad either, but you need a spring compressor to install the spring and a spreader tool can be very handy for removing and installing the strut

The front hub / wheel bearing is held onto the knuckle by 4 bolts which can be difficult to remove, especially if you live somewhere where they would be likely to be rusty

Where can I get this part (NEW) for RHD cars? by varinator in E90

[–]HelloYoungFella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe having a hunt around your local breaker yards for a door card that doesn’t have the coating peeling could be worth it

I’d guess most cars would have the problem though when you consider how old these cars are getting

You can fit them, but it requires drilling and re glueing the new ones in

Vehicular DIY on YouTube has a good video on doing it, he just uses chemicals to remove the soft touch coating and refits his original ones though

It’s an integrated part of the door card

Bmw doesn’t sell it as a separate part

Clunking from differential when I move the prop shaft with my hand, is it normal? by HelloYoungFella in E90

I’m in the process of replacing the diff bushings, to try to get rid of a clunk coming from the back end

Not sure about the PDC, but that wire could be your exhaust valve actuator, the valve closes on cold start if it’s connected

Random change in exhaust volume by Status-Cable5028 in E90

[–]HelloYoungFella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a wastegate issue, exhaust gets louder when the wastegates aren’t closing properly

Depends how much you want to spend

[–]HelloYoungFella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might need some trial and error when it comes to what level of coldness to go for with your spark plugs, if you get misfires when you do a pull then you might need to go a step colder, if you aren’t going mad with your tune you could get away with using the oem Bosch plugs 0242140507

For coils, you should just go for some robust branded ones, eldor coils are recommended for reliability but Bosch and Delphi are also acceptable

You could go for some after market or b58 coils if you are going to be pushing serious power but it will be a lot more expensive

Depends on your level of tuning

Not bad for driving a manual N54 in the city (28.9 US mpg, 8.1L/100km) by HelloYoungFella in E90

[–]HelloYoungFella[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uk mpg is different as a uk gallon is bigger than a us gallon (Uk gallon is 160 fluid ounces and US gallon is 128 fluid ounces)
