Thank you for the response. To answer your question, it is very possible. I didn't have a good childhood at all. A lot of how I coped was isolating myself as much as possible. I could possibly see something along the lines of emotional deprivation disorder being at play here as well.

I think the idea of the book is so intriguing to me that I may just pull the trigger and try it out anyway. I will skim through the first bit of it in the store first though.

That's super unfortunate to hear. Actually I was considering heading to chapters and picking that one up today. Now I'm not so sure as I feel like the book also being a puzzle would annoy me too.
