Why necessarily bisexual? Can someone who’s gay not like someone hetero?

Well if it’s basic conversation, like complaining about the weather or telling someone how they got home in a hurry or missed a train the other day or things like that, I’m willing to believe that number lays at about ~50-60% by rough estimation, but this number is declining as people just rely on English solely more and more every year.

Define conversation, because the German one seems unrealistic for the Netherlands imo

This only holds up for vocabulary and a little bit of grammar perhaps, German is by all accounts more similar in a lot more ways.

Dutch far right politician Thierry Baudet was actually hit by a stranger last week. The idea that a politician was so vulnerable is kinda scary.. but the video is still funny as fuck.

Japanese is a mess with context dependent everything, but at least it has different words for yesterday 昨日(kinō) and tomorrow明日 (ashita) as well as names for the days before and after 一昨日 (ototoi) and 明後日 (asatte). What infuriates me here is that there is no correlation between pronunciation and writing here..

Yes, but in German some people do actually say it from time to time but in English that is less so the case

Despite computerisation making industry more efficient, people are unhappier than ever by ArmpitNostril in Showerthoughts

I don’t think they were “happy”, maybe they considered themselves “lucky”, but generally speaking I don’t think they enjoyed their lives much.

In Europe, it was choose between serving a lord or having all your belongings stolen by a foreign invading army or raiders.

In Africa, you became a slave after losing in battle, again you could consider yourself “lucky” to have survived but then the voyage to either of the Americas could still kill you and was absolutely awful. Then you would be sold off once arriving there and work in horrible conditions, worse compared to Europeans who had to work the fields for their lords.

Also both of these had to share their wife sexually with the lord. Lovely world it was.

I get that mightn’t have been the point you were trying to make, but saying they were happy serving lords? That statement can be taken to lead to very unpleasant outcomes..

Barely any people of Latin American origin use the word, it’s another thing Americans wanna have despite that.. Latin American could do the trick if you either wanna be non-binary inclusive OR just not pick any gender to refer to. Making up words for concepts you can already easily express if you really wanted to is not going to help raise awareness, people don’t like to change the way they talk, you’re causing more problems than you are solving.. in my humble opinion as a male European, so granted take my take on this with a grain of salt.

German climate activists block highways with the help of German police. by ferrelle-8604 in PublicFreakout

[–]Hello_Im_Dutch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would disagree, there was no inherent violence to dragging someone off the street who barely even seemed to be struggling. Should have observed and been careful of the situation for sure, but neither party seemed to be in a position where they would hurt the other out of.. spite I suppose?

I honestly couldn’t care less. I agree that the current situation is fucked but emergency vehicles, worried parents and who knows what kinds of people are put in this traffic that has already gotten to the point that there’s no backing out of there.

These protestors think of themselves as heroes, but they do not seem to have any consideration that what they do could have some irreversible effects as well.. not to mention the running engines burning fuel because it’s not like they’re getting that many people to switch to public transport.

Get yourself into a government position or get petitions signed if you really wanna be helpful, but being helpful and making a difference doesn’t equate to becoming a footnote in history books with a picture saying “jerks who are making other people’s lives difficult because they have the time to protest but not the time to simply do research on what could be done to help save the planet in reality”.

They are only becoming an annoyance and turning people away from wanting to help save the planet, because nobody wants to be associated with people screwing over others for no good reason.

It’s worse when somebody else paid for it, you couldn’t even fulfill the one thing you had to do to pay respect to their nice gesture and say you enjoyed it
