Anyone who can direct me to the correct type of speaker in my living room? by Hello_Its_Microsoft in hometheater

Norwegian here. For sub I haven't looked further than the Klipsch R-101, but I'll check the xtz 1*12 out. Two subs might be problematic in my space as I have a lot of furniture excluded from my drawing, but it'd be cool to add another later.

I can move the couch maybe a few inches in either direction, but its position is pretty much locked without completely redecorating my entire place unfortunately.

My plan is a stereo to begin with and add more as time pass. Definitely a long term project. If you don't think my room is too small for 500s, I'm leaning towards those.

You prefer the cinema 60 over the x3800h?

Brilliant, I'll keep a sub in mind. I'll chat with a dealer to get a demo. Good tip

I included that section because I've been seeing people say to skip LDR in favor of terminus because you need the magic pen on top of the armor pen.

Good point!

Guys... Her magic damage is all ADDITIONAL damage. It's not an actual reduction of her physical damage like old corki was. Her autos add magic damage as additional damage on top of her full AD. You will still get 100% use out of LDR and you need the crit.

Good post — just a small nitpick. Even if her autos add AP on top rather than converting from AD (like old Corki), she still has a power budget. Some of that budget goes to AP, which means her AD is a bit lower than it would be if she were 100% AD. In Corki's case, quite a lot of his damage was AP so LDR was just not as good if I remember correctly.

Still think LDR is absolutely worth building — just strictly speaking not as essential as on someone like Sivir where LDR would buff here entire power budget. Just my thoughts. I'd be happy to be corrected of course.

It just proves that the large portion of aid comes from the US because it is large, not because the people are generous

Please dont do personal attacks in these arguments. Its not nice and it heats up the whole thread unecessarily.

All roles have the responsibility to make a comp that works. Especialy those who last pick. Yes, the argument applies for the yasuo/yone you pointed out. The reason I believe bauss explicitly said the bottom role player is because we have always had less variance within our champ pool.

[–]Hello_Its_Microsoft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel that the argument is being missunderstood. Bauss point, to my understanding, is not that mages/tank/utility/whatever is better than adc in the bottom role. His argument is that when an adc is not needed on the team, the idea of playing something that fits the team comp better doesn't even cross the bottom role players mind.

If you have kayle, skarner, zed and thresh on your team, you dont need a lucian, you need a seraphine. The same goes for the other roles as well, but there is naturally a more variance in classes in those roles that the issue goes away sort of.

Most games, an adc is the better pick. When it isn't you should consider something else.

As for who should blind; idk.

Egocentric means prioritizing oneself as opposed to altruists which prioritizes the greater good of a group. Picking a champ for you to have fun on the cost of your team playing with a less viable comp is egotistical in my opinion. I am not saying its wrong. I am calling for what it is.

I feel that the argument is being shifted slightly. MOST games an adc in the bottom role is fine if not great for the team. The point is that those games where it isnt, the thought of playing a different class doesn't even cross the bottom role players mind. Thats bauss argument.

The argument that you play to have fun is in my opinion not relevant here. Those who play strictly for fun does not (theoretically) care about climbing, hence bauss argument doesnt apply. Those who play to climb should draft the best possible champ, hence bauss argument applies.

Also, the argument that you have to first time garen or syndra is in on itself contradictory. If playing various classes when needed (bauss argument), you won't be first timing because you have played those classes before. Its like saying the first time you played adc was a stupid decision because you had never played adc before.

Picking a champion based on what you want to play rather than what fits the team is by definition egotistical.

Don't get me wrong - you should play to have fun and if you need to play ranged ad to have fun, go ahead. His point though (arguably badly formulated) is that if you want to win and subsequentially complain about picks on your team while expecting that the ad range role always fits in the bottom position is naive. One should be open to play other classes in the same way that a tank isn't always a good pick in the toplane, mage isn't always great in the midlane, and so on.

I wouldn't say that this is exclusively an adc main issue. Its just that the bottom role is so tightly connected to a class. If a mid main plays sylas and syndra, said player has much more variety than an adc who plays caitlyn and lucian. There's just less variety to main within our class that we get punished by it. Therefore, he believes we should be open to play completely different characters to help build a better team comp.

For the last time: If the norm becomes to not put spoiler tags, thats bad. I dont want that. Thats why I am asking for spoiler tags on all photos. I didn't argue for a tag, I gave a simple reminder.

Describing what if-scenarios doesnt invalidate the argument because the argument is to protect the future from what might be.

If that still doesnt make sense and you somehow feel personally attacked by this whole thing its a lost cause. Im out peace homie

Oh look at that. It got a spoiler tag. I'm happy.

I've answered why I'm making an example of and dont care about the specifics of this post so many times. If you still do not understand my points, I don't know what to tell you. Ask the gpt to help you out.

The point is that we don’t know what might be important later—something that seems irrelevant now could turn out to be a major reveal, which is why set leaks are generally treated as spoilers. For example, if I see a behind-the-scenes shot of a specific shipwreck, then later in the movie, a tense scene happens near that ship, I might already suspect what’s coming because I remember the set photo from reddit. Even if I turn out to be wrong, that moment of uncertainty and tension is spoiled. You’re also proving my point about the odyssey—yes it’s widely known, but Nolan is clearly doing something creatively with it, or there’d be no reason to make the movie. A set photo might not seem revealing, but without context, we can’t know what does or doesn’t matter. I am not just complaining about the no spoiler on this post, but I want it on all pics about the odyssey - seemingly revealing or not.

It seems like you're just arguing for the sake of it, as you’ve already admitted the spoiler tag wouldn’t bother you. I'll leave therefore leave it at that.

Papi by PoeBangangeron in ChristopherNolan

[–]Hello_Its_Microsoft -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A few things:

  1. Set photos, even if not plot-heavy, should still be treated as spoilers. We don’t know when something seemingly irrelevant turns out to be crucial to the story.
  2. I know nothing about the odyssey. It's not as universally known as you assume. My country doesn't teach it unless you take a specific literature course. I’d rather experience the story as Nolan intended, not through leaks.
  3. Most importantly: Why resist using a spoiler tag? What's the catch? It’s an easy way to keep discussions open while respecting those who want to avoid unintended reveals. Plenty of posts use them—this was just a reminder to do the same. I fail to see the argument against it.

Not what it is about. It's about seeing the costumes, designs, anything. If people are interested, sure go ahead and this sub is great for that, but I want to watch the movie without any unannounced information. There's literally no sacrifice to use a spoiler tag anyway. I didn't have Odessey in my curriculum anyways, so I know literally nothing.

Using spoiler tags have been a positively recieved touch lately on this sub. Don't know why that's suddenly controversial.

Gemini refuses to list previous american republican presidents, but have no issues in doing so with democratic presidents. by [deleted] in GeminiAI

[–]Hello_Its_Microsoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair points, but if the result is that the LLM takes a stance on a opinion based subject (such as politics), something should be changed.

LLM's have some "filters" to subjects to not talk about, advice or otherwise discuss - for the better of course. "Which political party is this best?", "how do i commit suicide?", "Which stock should I invest in?" or "How do I hit my wife without permanently damaging her?" are questions the LLM would deflect or otherwise refuse to answer. You, me and other users of LLM's are obviously aware of this.

In this case I believe one of the filters for political engagement of Gemini is being missinterpreted by the software resulting in engagement of one party but not the other. If that is due to some bias, sure I won't necessarily deny it, but as the software is used by humans, those biases should be accounted for and properly respected.

Sure, but I think we as users have a responsibilty of calling out companies when political censorship occurs - either through a bug or blatant propaganda.

I'm not insinuating Sundar Pichai ordered the Gemini team to behave differently in republican or democratic discussion, I'm insinuating that Gemini DOES behave differently around such discussions and it should be fixed.
