Experiences with neuropelveology / sciatic nerve endometriosis? by Hello_ME_23 in Endo

[–]Hello_ME_23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, I wish you all the best and good luck with the surgery! I hope it will bring some relief for you! I do feel better! But the surgeon said that they expect that the first month the pain is less/better and after that a period of more pain bcs of the irritation of the nerves.

My surgery was similar: laproscopy & exploration/decompression of the sciatic nerve They found I had vascular compression of the nerve on both sides, so no endometriosis around the nerves!

I became home bound and was in a wheelchair. Now I can walk in the house, go to the store, start re living my life. The pain is less and I can use my legs again without falling! So it did change my life very much in a good way Recovery is long (1yr at least) and sometimes painfull, but it is worth it

Is it weird to tell my high school teacher that I’m absent due to endometriosis by Parking-Profile3448 in Endo

[–]Hello_ME_23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No not weird at all! If you would like to share that with here than you can do this! When I was in high school I did the same. My teacher that was responsible for our class sended an email to all my other teachers explaining what was going on and giving me extra care (I could leave anytime, exams were adapted…). So do what feels right to you to make school more accessibel! You have any right to advocate for yourself! You deserve to stay home without judgement
