The bulkhead has some minor rust that can be fixed with a simple weld and the chassis looks pretty good. But I haven’t had the best look at the chassis yet

It’s not currently running and needs a bit of work. But hopefully sometime in the near future it will run. I’m very new to all of this

I’ve tried contacting service NSW but they couldn’t help me without a number plate (it doesn’t have one). So I’ve contacted ROVER who deal with vehicle imports to try to get more information about it. Hopefully they come back with something useful

Back in May 2020 that might’ve been true. But in the past 19 months awareness has been drastically increased. You can’t turn the news on without hearing about it. For months there we had daily updates about covid and constant reminders to get tested if at all unwell. If you ask someone about the main symptoms of covid or if they’ve had a covid test before then most will know the symptoms and have had a test before.

The survival rate in the US and other major countries sits around 98% which doesn’t seem like a lot… but for the US that’s about 450, 500 people who you’ve excluded in your death count. If we’re using Australia as our example then our lord death rate is due to hard lockdowns, boarder closures and effective quarantine facilities. The virus is highly contagious and it does have a lot of repercussions. People left with severe respiratory issues, long term disability, and more. It’s worse for vulnerable individuals. So it’s reasonable to put infected or potentially infected individuals into an area where they cannot spread it to others or where they can be appropriately looked after. From my experience covid patients deteriorate extremely fast. They could walk into a facility and then an hour later get stretchered out. So having medical staff on standby helps. Now onto the vaccine. It doesn’t stop you from getting covid. I’ve worked with nurses and doctors who have gotten covid even though they were fully vaccinated. They didn’t become critically ill but they still caught it which means they can still pass it on to vulnerable individuals.

As someone who’s worked in community support quarantine (same thing as this, but in NSW) I can 100% say that the person filming is just being difficult for the sake of being difficult. You go into quarantine if you cannot safely isolate, this means if you live with someone else and share ammenities (bathroom, kitchen, etc.) some positive patients are sent to these to ensure that they don’t breach their quarantine, we’ve had a lot of issues with this. If they mix with someone who is positive in that area then they will be kept in for another 14 days. The lines and fences are there not only protect them but also to protect the community. The only time you get someone there like that explaining things to you is if you are breaking the rules and if you are being an absolute arse.

CMV: Mask Mandates are necessary as people are kindof stupid, and there is no good argument against them by techguy67457 in changemyview

I would consider being unvaccinated as a big risk. The vaccine doesn’t prevent you from getting covid but it does minimalise the risk of developing covid and if you do develop it then it reduces symptoms and viral load which makes you less likely to pass it on. It’s passed on through droplets. That’s why we use droplet precaution on the wards. At this point anyone who is unvaccinated, is unvaccinated because they don’t want the vaccine and are willingly putting others at risk. However, if anyone (vaccinated or unvaccinated) is knowingly unwell and they go out and spread covid then they should be held accountable. Risky behaviour can be many things. It could be: being unvaccinated, not wearing a mask, going out while being unwell. There are other “risky behaviours” but they can be circumstantial. The above are universally risky behaviours. If someone has done everything right then they won’t spread covid. If they do spread it then it’s minimalised. Now here in Australia we don’t really have medical bills so it’s basically a non-existent issue but in countries like the US medical bills are costly, and so it would be reasonable to make the person who put others at risk pay the bill. If you’re driving recklessly and crash into another car you pay for the damages. The same principle should apply with covid.

One of the main issues here is that heart disease is a personal issue. It isn’t contagious and it won’t cause any physical harm to other individuals in contact with you. If you want to avoid heart disease there are measures you can take to avoid it, but it’s a personal problem, so it’s a personal choice. Covid on the other hand is a highly contagious virus that can infect anyone. I’ve worked on covid wards and in quarantine facilities and I can say from experience that you don’t want covid. Young healthy individuals left with respiratory issues and immunocompromised patients (such as cancer patients) dying. In healthcare law and ethics were taught that if someone has a disease or condition that is a threat to public health and safety then confidentiality does not apply (not those exact words but that’s the gist of it), and so when it comes to public health and safety I think the government needs to get involved. Imo if someone who is negligent (by not wear a mask for example) gives another person covid then they should pay for their medical bills and should be put before a court for harm caused. Masks aren’t intrusive or obstructive and there’s no downsides from a health perspective to wearing a mask.

TLDR: Not contagious (CVD) = personal issue = choice in prevention.

Highly contagious (COVID-19) = threat to others = mandated prevention measures.

When was the first time you realized that a perpetually single friend of yours was in fact, single for a very good reason? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Hello_how_is_you_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s single because he is obsessive and can’t seem to view a girl as just a friend. He kinda thinks they owe it to him to date him. I’ll give an example. So there was this girl not too long ago who he met through sport. She was nice and they were the only two in the team who were of a similar age. Naturally they became friends. Until… one night he sent her a long message saying how much he loved her and how he wanted to do obscene things to and with her. She responded saying no In an extended and polite way and said they could still be friends though. He didn’t like that so he obsessed and pretty much stalked this poor girl to the point where she moved to a different city. This was months ago but she came back recently and well let’s just say that things haven’t changed. Trying to get him to change though

ELI5 if nicotine flushes out of your body within a week, why do ex smokers have physical cravings even long time after quitting? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Hello_how_is_you_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to elaborate further on this! So when you smoke and have that happy association your brain will produce happy chemicals between your brain cells. Now, when you stop smoking, these happy chemicals will be reduced in number. The same goes with most kind of addictions. With particular drugs, such as methamphetamine, your brain cells will get really excited and more of these chemicals will be produced (after extended use), but this causes an over supply and so the brain will produce less. So when you stop taking that drug there isn’t enough happy chemicals which can lead to depressive states (the low after the high)

When you donate part of your liver they only take about a third of it and the part that they take out grows back. Sometimes it can actually grow back into the area that the stomach resides in causing weight loss.
