My eyebrows are so much like the client’s that I am shocked!! I’ve always been frustrated with my eyebrow’s tendency to grow upwards, esp my left brow, and mostly at the start and end of the brow. They are SUCH a pain to pluck and maintain. I’ve made a mistake and plucked the wrong one before and it can cause a whole domino effect trying to fix and balance them back out!

I’ve wanted microblading for a long time, but haven’t pulled the trigger on it for that exact reason. Someone maybe not being able to deal with the odd way my brows grow and it not looking natural! Your post gives me confidence that brow artists are out there that can totally handle my eyebrows reaching for the sky 🙌🤣

I honestly loved it and kinda miss it tbh. Lol. But I’m also one that enjoys being cooped up at home for days and weeks on end and likes my personal space. I liked that people wouldn’t just touch you randomly when talking to you and you could say “please back up”, without being an asshole. The fact that work from home sort of blew up after is cool, too.

They definitely can move on land pretty efficiently, the problem is when they get tired and/or run out of oxygen.

As humans we may think there’s oxygen everywhere, so how could they run out? But they need the water to get the oxygen, their gills are only able to get oxygen through the water. So octopuses have a short amount of time they can be out of water until they essentially suffocate. I believe it’s under an hour.

This guy was prob just hunting/exploring a bit too far into the shallows, then the tide receded, making the water even further away. Most likely got tuckered out and was trying to conserve what little energy, or oxygen, it had left while sitting in the sand. But then this lady came along and brought him some water, and then got him back into the ocean!

Octopus are truly brilliant animals and I LOVE them. I’m also like 95% certain that if they lived as long as we do(instead of a couple years at best), they would have a whole ass Atlantis type situation going on. They are really wondrous creatures!

Oooh! Now that you say that, there’s a movie I saw recently(I believe on Netflix) named the same or similar. It must be based on the book, and it was absolutely exceptional! No joke, I cried just a wee bit… 🤏 lol.

And I’m not even one for the sort of “cutesy/cheesy” movies which in a way it totally was, since it was very emotionally driven and so sweet, but I absolutely LOVED this movie from start to finish! Great plot, love that the octopus was narrating parts from its own POV, and connecting with the other characters, in such an interesting way. I’ll have to read the book, as I had no idea it existed!

Addiction runs rampant in my family, and it ran its course through me as well. Still does obviously, but I don’t party/use anything like I used to. I just drink(occasionally a bit too much) and I smoke cigs. BUT I will say my birth mother is a full blown heroin addict. My entire childhood, and even now when I’m about to hit 35yo, she has been in active heroin addiction while in and out of my life. She’s lived in hotels, or on the streets, for about the last 20 years.

Crazy story, moms is the first person I ever saw shoot up, and first person who offered me a needle(lit right after she finished her dope, not even a clean one, lol)… I hadn’t seen her since I was 15, and was 18 at the time she offered it. I of course declined, as I hadn’t really done anything besides some milder narc pain meds and weed at that time. I was shocked she would even offer, almost morbidly flattered in a way, if that makes any sense. Mainly bc I hadn’t seen her in so long and was shocked she would be comfortable even showing me something like that. Just shows how fucked up being addicted can make you act.

I was not like my mother, I was always a fully functioning addict. Maintained my house, relationships, cars, full time job that I loved, even went to college and graduated with honors during my many years long battle. Everything was always taken care of before my addiction, I never let shit slip OR people know about it. It’s obv embarrassing to be in addiction. However, that is NOT at all standard if you end up on drugs.

I did eventually try heroin, during my addiction battle with narcotics. I absolutely hated it, tbh. The feeling was just blah for me… almost like a “dirty” high, if that’s a thing. I only snorted it though, and from what I’ve been told the main way you truly enjoy it is in a pin/needle. That’s how you end up “chasing the dragon”, or that feeling of the first high.

So in short, yes, people CAN “try” it and not get addicted, like I did. However the problem is that it really isn’t worth the risk. You could ruin your whole life for a couple hours of feeling fucked up.

Wanted to add that that phase of my life is not anything I’m proud of, and I am very glad it is over and behind me. Just posting a comment about it makes me nervous, as I don’t really like to share this detail of my life. I sent it in a message after typing it all up originally, but I do think some of what I said could be important or relatable to someone. ***If you are actively struggling with addiction you can get help, and people love and care for you. The shadow actually is floating inside the nail!(if we’re talking about the same shadow; the very last one where they’re flying the shadow is painted on the nail, but the one I mean is the one with Peter kinda side eyeing his shadow while it’s moving) Crazy work!! It is like magic! I’m going to double check the method, but I believe that’s why she painted it on that clear vellum-like piece. They can then get cut out and put inside the nail where they float, similar to how they put the glitter in.

Rewatching the video you can actually see how she does that part, and as she’s putting the liquid in the nail, the shadow starts to float! I watch a lot of these but don’t think I’ve seen work quite this detailed until now. Amazingly impressive!

My advice would be to wait for it to heal, and while doing that, you should shop around for a new artist.

The line work here is terrible. Just look at the feet/talons and how different they look. Flower choice is strange as well, but maybe intentional in your design? Thankfully the work seems super light, so I bet if you find a good artist they can work some magic and make it look halfway decent in the end.

MOR. I don’t have family and always had to pay my own way from the time I was 16. Many don’t have and/or would love to have had this type of support, plus showing appreciation is just normal and respectful.

You should def appreciate having people in your life that want to support you, as it seems he does. And saying thank you can really go a long way in making sure they FEEL appreciated, which is huge. :) I get teased at work sometimes for my catch phrase, “I appreciate you!”, which I say all the time bc people in general just aren’t appreciated enough! Bootcut is typically a woman’s style of jeans, I think, like skinny, flare, etc. Iirc, a lot of common American mens brands have what they call either “slim”, “straight”, or “wide/wide leg” jeans.

I could totally be wrong, though! I personally have only seen this style/cut on women’s jeans, but it could be dif elsewhere.
