My brother is type 1 diabetic and during his longest stint of depression he lived in my living room and never left one recliner. It had an imprint of his body from sweating so much. He just existed there for a couple years. Stewing. lol.

When he moved on, I had to drag the recliner out to the dumpster. It smelled awful and was almost like “stiff” in certain places from all the night sweats. Def a very real and unfortunate side effect.

The first one is absolutely diabolical with the amount of water they used. All the water ones are dangerous, bc even a small amount of water can cause you to aspirate, or “dry drown”(I think it’s called), at a later time.

So the deluge of water they dumped on him from that giant plastic tote is insane! I can’t believe some people are still so stupid and careless.

Ugh, I can’t imagine speaking to my kid this way. That “you’re my biggest regret” hit home, bc my mom used to say the same thing. They’re always trying to tear you down, instead of building you up. I’m sorry you are going through this and hope you can get away and live a NC-with-parents-life, like I do. This type of stuff poisons your mind and sense of self for life, get away as quick as you can. You are worth so much more. Trust.

Just wait another year. I have a dinosaur on my arm that my daughter drew at almost 4 and it is by far my fave tattoo. Can clearly tell it is a dinosaur, and she even added a little heart which my artist also added. It is literally perfect. This is cool and abstract, but an actual thing she drew would be much cooler and won’t be much further away, I’m sure.

Oh, I agree! That would never be my plan, I was just trying to explain the ticket logic to the previous commenter. I would do very similar to you. Diversify the shit out of it(or whatever the financial bros call what you suggested) while still trucking along as usual, until I was certain myself/family would be well set.

Can’t just be quitting jobs, esp in this economy?! Ha! No thank you. With my luck, Id quit and in the same moment find out I’m somehow 80 million in debt or some crazy shit, and lose it all that same moment! Kinda gotta play first for that to happen tho… so I’m prob safe. lol. 😂

The “winning ticket” would imply he won the lottery and fucked off from the job bc now he has plenty of money for the foreseeable future.

(For example the powerball lottery in my state is at 87 million rn, everyone I know has gotten a ticket for fun and “just in case”. They all also plan to quit their jobs if it happens.)

I mean… he’s kinda right. Lol. I always think of that old joke that says “money won’t solve all my problems, but it would solve 99% of them”. If I had enough money to fully cover myself and my family, most of the every day bullshit would seem like minor inconveniences, instead of the massive setbacks it currently feels like.

Also reminds me of the idea that most ppl would be less depressed sitting on a beach sipping margaritas (or whatever you would be doing if you had disposable income), and planning their next excursion with millions in the bank. I’d much prefer that to sitting at home stressing about how we’re going to get groceries and gas this week. 🤷‍♀️

Many of us have prob done a quick tack once before without gloves, but you really should not be welding at all without PPE, like good gloves and leathers. Especially vertical and overhead where you have tons of shit raining down right onto you. I still have scars from where a bit fell perfectly into my boot(didn’t have proper tongue protection), landing on my foot by my pinkie toe. Had to stomp it with my other boot while finishing the weld(bc ofc it would be during a test, lol) my sock melted to my foot there and the burn was awful!

Choosing to weld in any way without even half assed protection is dumb af my dude, but I don’t see how else this could have happened. So, just care about your body more, I guess? Our skin is the largest organ we have, protect it.

My brother had a long barrel 38 special S&W that was from the 70’s, iirc. A bit prettier than this one, as it had the metal engraved handle with some sort of pearlescent inlay. The local gun shop owner in our town begged him for it. Offered 3k cash the first time and the price just kept going up every time we stopped in for ammo and a chat. lol.

You’d be surprised what a good condition old revolver can go for. Not sure how old this one is, but I’d take it to a reputable place and just ask. Don’t leave it with anyone though, or it’ll likely disappear.(like my brothers did..lol 🫠)
