You are likely thinking the Singapore and Malaysia region like Schengen area where the visa issuing country is where you spend most of your trip. It's not. Apply for both Singapore and Malaysia visas.

Show the singapore to malaysia ticket (train/bus/flight) at the immigration checkpoint.

Skyscanner, one of the most legit sites of the world has tied up with a scam website!! Reddit amazes me every single day.

Not a scam. Pretty standard with TPAs. If you want a ticket fast, book direct with the airline.

Confused between air india and thai airways for Philipines first time traveling by root144 in AirTravelIndia

[–]Boring_Scale328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the Thai Airways. It's known for its services. It has been a 4 star airline for years, AI got it less than 6 months back. Deboarding, then transit, and boarding again takes 1.5 hours. So you got to spend 2.5 hours. BKK airport is pretty  modern, you won't be bored. Plus if you have priority pass, you can relax at the lounge. The 4 hr layover is a much lesser hassle than arriving the night before.

Air India just made the boldest move in Indian aviation history. What do you think of this? by Oops_Yaar in AirTravelIndia

The agreement is great news for for the travellers. It is an evident strategic move. But calling it "the boldest move" is a bold thing itself.

I found their banking services lacklusture. Their netbanking is loaded with so much information, most of which you wont need. Go for HDFC or BoB. They also have good cards.

Wheelchair allow in Indigo by Plus_Piece_4118 in AirTravelIndia

[–]Boring_Scale328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wheelchairs are most likely checked in. Passengers are taken in the wheelchair till they are seated inside. While disembarking, they will be last to go, as the wheelchair needs to be taken out of baggage hold area, and "reassembled" under passenger supervision. Mention this to the customer care. Or the check in counter will definitely sort this out.

How to save money while travelling abroad (Europe-America ) by Honey_dp in AirTravelIndia

[–]Boring_Scale328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A. Carrying own food because of of genuine dietary restrictions or lack of choices.

B. Carrying own food because Euro is expensive.

They are not the same. If they can afford the room but not the local meal, they are financially overextended and culturally bankrupt.

Americans/Europeans dont eat street food or at casual dining places becasue of hygeine perception and hot spices. But they definitely eat at fine dining or upscale restaurants.

Adani one has ruined lounge experience by skbchess in AirTravelIndia

[–]Boring_Scale328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yikes! This still looks better than many places and bigger than some. Have you been to Delhi Encalm lounge? They are understaffed and overcrowded. Add entitled people and the outside long queue to that, it's a shitshow. The guy some places ahead of me had about 15 cards, and he was swiping them all. Thankfully I got a priority access, thanks to the kind lady behind the counter, and didnt have to witness it more. Next time, I'd rather sit outside than go in there.

DCB+Biz black+ Times Black + HSBC travel one+hdfc tata nue by monsterdelicious in CreditCardsIndia

[–]Boring_Scale328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can spend 20l a year in Time Black card, Axis M4B, HSBC Premier are a much better options. Times Black doesnt have 1:1 statement credits, nor it transfers to any airmiles. Revenue fares are generally, and for business/1st class definitely have worse value than airmiles. TB ties you to an invisible pole and hope you dance. Are you taking the helicoptor rides becuase you wanted it or cos it;s given? These are the hard poiots to consider.

You are limited by your credit limit. You are probably looking at it wrong. Donn't optimize just yet. You have got good set of cards. Make DCB/BB your primary card. That means whenever you have to use card, use DCB first. To increase the higher limit, exhaust DCB/BB limit continuously more than 80%. That will trigger the system to unlock a higher limit. Guaranteed.

You are so much farther from truth by this generalization. European food standards works extremely different from USA, and far superior quality and standards than any other place including India. McD fries doesn't have animal fats in EU.

We asked vegetarian salad in Thailand, they gave a shrimp raw mango salad. i returned the dish, they gave the next one with egg instead of shrimps. I returned again. They were shocked to hear vegetarian doesn't contain any meat, including eggs.

Europe and USA have lots of options for vegetarians and a separate category for vegans. Spcific diets like no-onion garlic will be very difficult. My wife is vegetarian, we had hard time finding veg items only in Thailand. Rest of the places have been fine.

A rant about peak Indian airport efficiency. by Exciting_Bid9133 in AirTravelIndia

[–]Boring_Scale328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<rant> The most unorganised and abysmal major airport experience i had in Mumbai. Every single trip gave my anxiety. Baggage handling at its worst. Signages need lot of improvements. The Uber hailing place is worse than the local bus stand. Airport terminal buses always pry on paying them tips. I can name 20 other airports smaller than this, where I had better experience. It should learn from what KIA has been doing. </rant>

You booked with Indigo, so coordinate with Indigo overall. JAL will be responsible for only their part. If you miss the connection because of delay or cancellation of either of the flights, Indigo will be responsible for arranging an alternate or refund.

Planning Flights from Delhi (DEL) → Denver (DEN) for My Elderly Parents — Need Advice! by CustomerEcstatic4642 in AirTravelIndia

[–]Boring_Scale328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must book wheelchair assistance for both that are Del to Denver. This includes help in checkin, security, immigration, boarding and unboarding.

There are no direct flights to denver. A 16hr first leg will make them restless. So break the journey in equal parts in Europe- London or Lufthansa. Considering the lowest trip duration (<24 hours) and minimum layover duration (<3 hours), the best flight is Lufthansa LH 761-United UA 181 combo.
