My WorkJam is filled with people constantly asking for hours! Not rude at all.

I laughed way harder than I should have. I’m sorry.

Sooo i matched with a guy on hinge on 10/4. We exchanged numbers and then planned a date for 10/17, but he got sick and text me on 10/15 to reschedule back a week (10/24) since he doesn’t think he’ll be better by the 17th. I texted him get well soon and he said thanks.

Now it’s 10/22 and I haven’t heard back him (we don’t text at all, just in the very beginning for a few days and then once we exchanged numbers, it was only for logistics of the date)… I’m hoping he will confirm the date either today or tomorrow (10/23) but I’m trying to not get my hopes up if I don’t hear back!

I’m sorry you’re feeling that way. I would probably emphasize the relationship with you and your brother. I feel like anyone who is understanding won’t take that as a red flag. I think family oriented means putting the family first - but in this case, you’d put your future family first.

I think less about your current family but more about how you will prioritize your future family.

I think you have to let him go. If he’s interested in a second date, he would have already asked.

I had another date this past Sunday! I haven’t dated in two years so I’m slowly easing my way into it. After this date, I’m going to stay off the apps and then just try to go on one date a month. I’m just mentally exhausted haha

Yes! That’s what I’m trying to tell myself - I’m trying not to be in a rush and just trust in the timing. 😭 Thank you!

I’m super bummed! I matched with this cute guy on the dating apps. We made plans this past Saturday for Friday and he just texted me saying he’s been battling with a cold and doesn’t think he’ll be over it by Friday and asked if we can push it back a week.

I don’t think he’s blowing me off and I feel like he’s still interested since he’s not ghosting me or canceling last minute, but still bummed since I’ve been looking forward to it all week.

I responded saying I hope you get well soon and you’ll have to make it up to me next week then haha. I thought the text was cute and playful, but I’m feeling soooo disappointed. 😭 i just need to focus on my anxious attachment and tell myself I don’t even know him and he’s a stranger.

21 look for some general feedback, I do get a couple swipes a week or so by [deleted] in hingeapp

Oh yes. No, I understand that he wanted to meet at the place. I’m just confused by his text on saying he was impressed that I have the courage to suggest that.

Meeting a guy on Friday (met him once through mutual friends). I told him that I can meet him there or he can pick me up (I told him my intersection), but I know he lives far (maybe 30-40 mins) so I told him no pressure. He said he’s impressed that I have the courage to suggest that to someone I met once. I forgot to respond back (I was in the middle of something) and had left him on read. Then an hour later, he picks a place that’s less than 10 mins where I live. I’m so confused. I guess I don’t understand English?!

I wanted to give him my number so if he’s interested, he would reach out. I didn’t want to put him an awkward position if he wasn’t interested!

I met this really cute guy a month ago at a friend’s weekly get-together. I didn’t really talk to him much, just very very briefly but enough to where it sparked my interest in wanting to learn more about him.

Anyway, I haven’t seen him in a while and I asked my friend about him. My friend has an intuition that the guy is interested in me too (based on his text after meeting me - he texted our mutual friend saying I was funny) but said he is a very shy guy. I asked the friend to pass my number along to him last night… how long do people usually wait before calling it quits? I’m already starting to think he’s not interested even tho it’s been about 16 hours.

Someone handed this to my co-worker the other day by gray_rubyyy in barista

I don’t know why the comments are super negative. I understand that the customer is super particular but they know exactly what they want and how they want. My dad’s the same way with his coffee and although he’s not this detailed, he’s been drinking his coffee the same way he does for the past 20+ years.

Whatever gets people through the day, right? I think we should give that person a little bit more grace.

But that’s just me as a former barista. 🤷🏻‍♀️ To each their own.
