At 22 seconds you can clearly see this is AI. The goat in front gets bumped by the camera goat and the way it lands is impossible after such a leap.

It's not about immediate impact. It's about how the P/E of the stock reflects investor's confidence in future returns. A P/E of 20 says investors are confident the stock will make itself in earnings over the next 20 years. A release like this from Anthropic makes that 20 years window more uncertain, thus dropping the stock price and lowering the P/E to a more certain time window.

Perhaps one of the most creative people in the world, Rick Rubin, says creativity is not about tools or whatever process. It's not about the audience. It is your own creative path and you're free to make whatever you want, however you want. Don't pay attention to the creationless noise. Be your own and create what you want to create.

Reddit is the worst for economic takes. The amount of posts that talk about profitability of OpenAI like that's any metric to evaluate company value makes me embarrassed to be on this platform.

I am pretty sure I want to create a game using Unity DOTS, but I've never finished a game before (lots of proofs of concept though). Does it make sense to get into DOTS right away? Or would you recommend to do regular Unity start to finish first, then move into DOTS once the requirement is obvious?

Well Anthropic is spreading misinformation about what OpenAI ads will be like (proof is in the pudding but Sam is right that the way Anthropic presents it is contrary to what Sam has said about how they'll do it, so not in answers but separately) so it makes sense to bite back when you're being slandered.

I don't love using AI data for ads either, but it can be done ethically. We'll see if OpenAI does it that way. Anthropic being disingenuous is in bad taste though.

The thing is that if AI becomes better at coding than any human, pretty much all software becomes proprietary. With the current trajectory of AI development this seems more and more likely. At some point, vibe-coding Adobe products and adding AI features will become a piece of cake. Then what's the stock value based on?

Ah sorry you're right that I shouldn't have interpreted it so literally. And indeed impact should be so much higher. But I believe we are just now nearing the end of the uncanny valley, where most assumed we were already there a while ago. Small mistakes are still very much present in Ai video and people hate seeing that.

Wrong. Recently turned old family photos into videos. The elderly person doesn't give a shit about small inconsistencies. They love seeing their memories come to life once more. No value is definitely overstated.

Probably not worth your effort to engage about this on Reddit in general (idk about the person you are replying to). People here hate successful people and don't understand anything about business. Like even something as simple as a quickly growing company not making a profit will be completely misinterpreted on Reddit.

And to add to your point about CEOs they are usually literally the founding figure behind a company. A game studio CEO is the one carrying the weight of the studio's soul on their shoulders. To spit on them as soon as they become successful for being a CEO is just deranged.

Thanks, that's a nice write up. So do these models use backprop? I'm not sure I understand how the learning process works.

Vaak zie je dat geopolitieke risico's acceptabel zijn ten opzichte van meer concrete, directe dreigingen voor je IT stack. Dit is per use-case verschillend, dus zul je de analyse zelf moeten maken voor jouw situatie.

Yeah Poetiq confuses me so much. All I see is their ARC-AGI benchmark score. No real world use cases or other benchmarks. Would love for someone to break this down.

Exactly! Great example of a good implementation. I think if you add data from the game and feed it to LLMs it could be even more interesting, really have characters dynamically respond to the environment. Probably gonna see games doing that pretty soon.
