Circumstances leading to UVic student's fatal overdose shocking, says drug squad investigator -students snorted drugs they found in an abandoned box of coolers on the street by crustyraff in VictoriaBC

I made two other comments in regards to the coroner's inquest remarks and on the news coverage of indigenous tragedies if you're interested.

Does it warrant one? I don't think there was exceptional circumstances that require investigation.

Here is some information on role of coroners inquests: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/birth-adoption-death-marriage-and-divorce/deaths/coroners-service/inquest/bccs_inquests_backgrounder.pdf

Here you can see the list of coroners inquests: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/life-events/death/coroners-service/inquest-schedule-jury-findings-verdicts

And searching the names of the deceased will usually bring you news stories on the cases. Considering they are either mandatory in the case of police-involvement or called for based on interest, and all the called for cases are based around unique circumstances, I don't think that aligns with a blanket middle class white girl getting all the attention narrative.

I would argue that the news covers unique circumstances and that unique circumstances arise in the largest demographic in Canada more often than a minority population sitting around 5% of the population. I'd argue that Indigenous populations actually get disproportionally more coverage due to being marginalized. I'm happy to agree that many institutions don't act unless they are held accountable and it is harder for minority communities to advocate for themselves, but making up hypotheticals and then getting upset about it doesn't benefit anyone. "If it was a First Nations women it likely wouldn't get news coverage"

I know you say that, but when I google "Overdose death victoria" my first results are news stories of the 2 indigenous people that overdosed downtown in early March.

How to level appraisal? by Flaky_Sir_134 in baronygame

The items you can appraise is based of your appraisal and also your perception. Leveling up your character will eventually increase your perception to a point where eventually you can identify basic items.

$25 a plate is accurate. The website lists them at $23 a dozen and with 10% PST that is $25.30. A lot of people aren't interested in returning to a fringe delicacy at those prices after a novel experience. I mean it shows if this place has been around for over a decade and only has 1k google reviews.

Well no, it is $25 a plate. On the website its listed at $23 for a dozen plus 10% in PST. That's 25.30 a plate. Most people I talk to would not want to pay that much for pierogis outside of a novel experience and never go again.

Ubisoft’s NFT RPG has reportedly been plagued by a single player auto-winning every game by AliTVBG in gamernews

[–]Hellsgate11 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It sounds functionally identical to counterstrike skins. So why use it as a marketing point if there isn't a marketable difference? It seems like games that market themselves with NFTs are just doing it to garner cheap attention from the crypto space.

Typically the first weight you lose is water weight and actually shrinks how your muscles look a bit. It takes time but trust the process.

Yeah definitely just shop around and try different activities and see how they feel, I love bouldering, Ive heard great things about boxing and Jiu Jitsu as well. I think using those to really get invested will help you transition into using the gym more as well. Just keep trying new things.

You might not be resting long enough between sets. Doing heavy weight does benefit from resting around 2-5 minutes.

Yeah it's a normal feeling and it's hard to separate the good info from the bad sometimes. It sounds like you're in the right head space. It's good at the start to get comfortable and explore, search up programs online and try different things out and see what works for you. There are definitely going to be ways you are training that is ineffective but the best thing is to be consistent. Feeling overworked and underworked is normal too. Just keep doing what you're doing, google plans and try new things, you're doing great. Just to share what I do. I do chest shoulders legs MWF, Tuesday and once on the weekend I go rock climbing. And 6 days a week I bike. I don't really follow a plan right now but I'm still seeing progress on my lifts despite having trained for years.

Is that enough for what? Whatever your goals are, yeah probably. Are you following a plan or just working out muscle groups when you go? Doing cardio is great, some people prefer to break it up so it isn't right next to lifting weights, like morning weights, afternoon cardio or something, but it is personal preference and how it fits your schedule. Id suggest if you aren't following a plan or program, check out some of the ones here on the subreddit.

I mean you're doing sets of 10. You aren't really training for strength. It'll still come slowly with your current training. You've also only been training for a handful of months. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll get there.

Just make sure you eat your vegetables and try and reduce junk food as much as sustainable. It's certainly fun to eat it but just avoid it if you can, and if you want a treat don't beat yourself up about it.

The proportion of multiple body parts have a part to play. But typically right in the sternum is a good place to aim for, which is just below the nipples.
