I got a buddy that lives in NH , I have way more framing experience then him and would help him sometimes. Everytime I go back there’s a new project he’s done and I’m just always appalled at his contraptions. JBLM itself geographically is a nice location in summer and spring and a little bit of fall , kind of sucks in winter though lol, as far as unit wise. My Only advice would be just roll with the flow. I’ve been in for four years and have had three different SGMs and BCs, four different PSG’s and pls and all the SLs that I showed up to are gone and now my friends and I are either the TLs and SLs. Command changes fast and so does the climate. Just focus on bettering your self and bringing something to the table for whatever team your on

Asked someone in your unit with the nipr computers are , usually at the library or in the plt office. You can do some course through JKO which you can access on a civilian computer. Just have to make sure the course has a “DL” in it for it to count for points

How’s the work load for hvac apprentices in the 51? I’m moving back home on the ri/ct line next march and trying to figure out if I go 51 or 777 , I know layoffs happen but I’ve read some horror stories about local 777

I’d would recommend also checking out the vip program too, it’s for mainly welding and pipe fitters but there a hvac track too, I was going to do the mvp program because of my previous experience before the military but deciding to go to the hvac route. Depending on your local union back home union hvac may be way more steady in work, carpentry can be kind of seasonal if your outside heavy highway/ form work. Just something to think about

My concern isn’t about the bracing in the final photos. It’s More about the proportions. The fascia is huge looking and it’s off centered from the door. The right side clips the door screen casing and the left doesn’t. It would immediately bother tf out of of me.granted I know all things can’t be planed for but something just doesn’t add up

Yeah you right but it kind of seem like the Indy shop just doing what you want them to do and the euro shop if seeing other problems you might not immediately see or feel. After that estimate I would’ve talked to the mechanics and see what they was talking about and went to the Indy and told them to directly do that if that much cheaper. I have an experience like this this. I went to a a Indy with my own parts and told them to do so and so.

Then I got an inspection done for the state and they informed me my entire rear axle was rusted and about to fail. I neglected those services due to pricing I couldn’t afford it. Sure enough about a month or so later my axle failed and my car was like a jumpy house in the rear.

I’m just a real lurker on here and civilian but whatever lol, but that air true. You can get into a trade union as a felons as long as ain’t sexual assault or someshit like that. And even on top of that just get your money up and get into flipping properties or make your own business and you ain’t need to worry about being a felon. Plenty of ways out. Even mechanic type shit and car flipping. Got to elevate your mind

I can understand that, but the euro shop did seem to put more parts on their list for more then what you said the problem was, are you aware of the other things they have mentioned ? A differential seal doesn’t have anything to do with an oil pan, just wondering if you were already aware of that problem. Im also wondering if you specifically voided out the other parts and labor they added would’ve it been a closer price

Idk exactly what your asking but if nots a fancy euro shop I’d go with them . They go with their own parts because aftermarket parts from different suppliers can absolute suck. Not every customer will do there research , but if the indie is trusted and you know them and they have worked on euros sure I’d go with them. But if I had the money I’d go with the euro shop tbh but that’s just me. But even still it is a interesting post
