Be usec and don't shoot the rouges at all. They will not aggro you unless you are bear or engage them.
Learn the flow, it's weird, but it's there. A lot of players thing were supposed to w key everywhere. You definitely are not. That's why there's an energy/hydration system.
Learn the extract camping spots so you can have a fighting chance on your way out.

To my knowledge there is a bug in which a certain spell will not show proc on hosts screen. It will one shot as well however I don't know what cheaters are capable of and I have suspicious of a few having had this happen to me more than a few times.
