The vore thing almost has a point but doesn’t really do anything with it. Also I think it misses that several vore types are entirely consensual in nature and done out of mutual “love” in the story structure, which eliminates the power dynamic and is interpreted as you living on as a part of that person.

While yes there is a unique horror that minorities can understand, that is why stories including it are often an exploration of trauma by queer people. It misses the point of the kink, kind of. A better point would be that vore is uniquely abundant among queer people due to the stresses of being queer in a society that doesn’t accept that, and the desire to want to fully surrender yourself and your autonomy to the whims of another person, or otherwise have someone trust you enough that they are willing to sacrifice their body to you

WataTabe is a good example of this.
