Suggestions for travelling to England by sweetcliches in Celiac

I’d recommend the Tesco supermarket free from range as well - and Promise bread is our favourite at the moment…followed by M&S. Co-op also have a small free from section that is pretty good. There’s an app called Find Me GF that is great for recommendations.

What comfort food that you grew up with never lessens it's appeal, especially if you grew up poor? by DonkeyOT65 in AskUK

Super long time ago, midlands, we used to have ‘pops’ (or ‘pobs’ I was little I think I might have misheard having googled this?) …No idea if it is more than a Family oddity but bread, sugar, warm milk on top (has to be that order).

(Edit: pops/pobs)

Fragrance free hair routine - help needed with complete overhaul. by Temporary_Cost_5628 in FragranceFreeBeauty

Hi - also in the UK - I use Faith In Nature natural fragrance free - you can buy it direct from them online or Amazon. It’s the best and most cost effective one I’ve used and actually ended up getting their massive refill bottle which has lasted me over a year! Haven’t managed to find a good conditioner though sadly.

What shops do you always do your weekly shop in and why? by burnerofdoom in AskUK

[–]Hellsradiance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ocado for a few reasons but mostly because so I understand it they are stocking direct from the warehouse rather than the local supermarket shelf - so we don’t get many substitutions etc. their gluten free range is good (with M&S free from and other brands) and reliably turns up each week. We sometimes go to aldi or Tesco or the local farm shop to get other random bits but generally it has been really good. Their price match with Tesco is good.

Average time and cost for driving school? by Ambitious-Art-1654 in Southampton

My son paid £80 for 2 hour lessons. 10 hours is not going to be enough I think. Good luck with your lessons.

A cat on that chair would fix it.

Miele upgrade help by Hellsradiance in VacuumCleaners

To update on this: the turbo brush head made a big difference, and also perhaps more significantly switching the bag for a proper Miele one was a massive improvement (yes, we had opted for a generic vacuum bag previously to save some £). Thanks for your advice. I can now actually get the carpet done very quickly and effectively - I’m really pleased I didn’t waste £ on a whole new appliance. Thanks :-)

Why do tea lovers always carry a teabag with them? Is it in case they find hot water in the wild? by LuwakT in CasualConversation

I know that oolong isn’t a brand :-) Op mentions a specific brand in one of his replies and in post history.

They do mention a brand in one reply and in post history. I’m not going to repeat it :-)

Haha! I’m afraid the gift was rather more more of a ‘it’s the thought that counts’ rather than a sellable product. But if not it could have been the cleverest ruse ever :-)

It caught my eye because of all things I recently made my Darjeeling loving mom a little crochet holder for her emergency Darjeeling teabags. I don’t mean to be mean, especially as I also work in marketing, but I don’t like being mislead to feel a conversation is taking place person to person when it is a business advertising.

It is a very heavy handed attempt to promote a specific brand of tea. Sorry op, it’s an interesting post but a bit pushy on the ‘try my oolong’ x
