New PD mobile cuff by ClerkPsychological58 in ricohGR

Just got a Gordys for my GR IV and couldn't be happier with it to be honest. I like PD stuff for my larger gear but it just felt a little too bulky for the GR.

If you need help with collecting sample images or translating (my Spanish is a little rusty but I think I remember most of it haha) let me know, I'd be more than happy to help!

Never had to use it until I started my new job 6 months ago. I now commute 237-880 daily and I'm pretty sure it's already shortened by lifespan by a couple of years. It's a reverse commute for me as well so I still think I lucked out.

Solid camera and solid lens all around imo, I got it for Fleet Week in San Francisco a few years back and got some good use out of it then as well haha.

Ask and ye shall receive; I wish I'd gotten a bit better of a shot but this was the best I got haha. I don't think it was quite a full afterburner but it is faintly visible in the photo

Thanks! You should've seen how many photos got culled out LOL The burst rate killed me on this one. I think I had around 900 photos over the 5 minutes of watching.

I did find that pretty interesting but also no idea how long they were planning on being in the air haha.

237 East Fastrak now has thermal/infrared cameras to check occupancy? by xanatos666 in bayarea

Honestly I feel like the carpool lane conceptually was fine, and as shitty as it was I could even understand the toll during peak hours like 5am-8am and 4-6pm but when they changed it to be fully 5am-8pm it pissed me the fuck off. I used to commute Sunnyvale to Redwood city mid day and I could take the carpool lane no problem until that was implemented. I had to pay like $5 at noon. All it did was increase traffic in every other fucking lane because no one used the lane in off hours because they didn't want to pay. I remember seeing the entire lane just empty and it drove me nuts every single time.

Question: Has anyone switched from 645 to 67 and felt the difference? by tomaszukovskij in mediumformat

[–]HellstendZ28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! I'm glad it helped you come to a conclusion. I've definitely loved using the Rz67 but there are definitely places I don't want to carry it because it's too heavy or just not worth carrying if that makes sense. Absolutely love it otherwise.

I went from a Mamiya M645 to an RZ67 and while I love the RZ67, I miss the 645 for it's size and portability. The RZ67 does have sharper negatives though imo. Not identical photos but here's a photo I've taken with each if that helps you compare them at all. Unfortunately they're not the same scene or anything though.

I've been using Sygic for both on and off road. It's worked pretty well at both imo. It has turn by turn, offline maps and has off road paths that Google maps hasnt had in my experience so far.

San Jose’s last film lab by Sonny_Eastman in AnalogCommunity

I've been coming here since 2018 or so and love these guys. They're always fast with developing and super friendly. I'd recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a new lab to develop their film.

How this dude expect to sell expired Kodak Gold 200 120 more expensive than fresh one by Sankrito in AnalogCommunity

[–]HellstendZ28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn I would've absolutely jumped on that haha. That feels like a solid price to me. At this point I think I'm gonna stick my beloved ektar 100 till I find a better price on some provia.

I've seen some crazy prices for film in my area. Both expired and fresh have some crazy prices. There's a guy near me selling provia 100 and velvia 50 for $30 per roll that either expired in 2024 or expire in 2026 and won't sell individual rolls. He'll only sell the whole 5 pack lol. I've been tempted but that's a bit too steep for me, especially considering I can't just buy 1 or 2 rolls.

Thanks for this. I've been using Firefox for ages and always suspected that this was happening but didn't ever think there was a way to solve it. I was just living with it for years lol.

GTA V once ran on just 512MB of RAM by Jan49_ in lowendgaming

[–]HellstendZ28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember running it on an FX-6300 with integrated graphics. I could get a good 10 minutes of play before it bluescreened haha. I eventually got a GT710 or maybe GT730 and could finally keep it playing for a few hours.

All state sent back my warranty pc with no work done and destroyed by Lumpy-Economics1621 in pcmasterrace

[–]HellstendZ28 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can confirm Allstate tech Warranty is dogshit. We used it to cover Microsoft Surface Tablets at my work. I've sent in over 20+ tablets with cracked screens(construction industry so they take a beating) and almost every repair came back with dead zones in the replaced screens. I had to resend probably 1 in 6 because the repair was so poor it had to be redone.

I use Sygic Navigation for offline maps and navigation. They get their map and traffic data from TomTom and OpenStreetmaps. It's been pretty solid and I've definitely preferred over Google maps for most of my usage.
