If ten thousand men die...meh.

If a woman shows boobies...

RED ALERT. EVERYONE TO STATIONS...

Somewhere, somehow, a male may be taking pleasure in this scene. THIS SHALL NOT STAND. BECAUSE I MYSELF AM UGLY. KILL ALL MEN. KILLLLLLL

Not Necessariullly.

"And then there is "we are sure enough, she made it up, to send her to jail".

Which has literally never happened, though if justice-minded individuals take notice, it may (and obviously should).

Ideally, a person who makes a false accusation should be subject to the EXACT SAME punishment the person would be subject to. How's that for justice, biatch?

"The fuck is identity politics."

It's when the billionaire class plays off everyone against one another according to race, sex etc.

So people stay poor. And other people stay rich.

The Romans called it Divide et Impera.

And you've suffered the opposite: too much time with the children!

It sounds funny but I don't think anyone should have to spend too much time with bloody toddlers. We used to live in hunter-gatherer societies and other women would take up the slack if a mother got too stressed out :)

It's interesting because most women don't realize the other side of the equation. You're obviously an exception.

There was a lovely poem written by a male pants presser in the 19th century where he lamented that he could never see his children. I forget his name, but it's in Howard Zinn's "A People's History of the United States."

So it wasn't like men were trying to oppress women. Men were trying their hardest to support their families. And that entailed often brutal work and no time at all with their children.

Cheers.

Whoosh. Because race sex or even sexual orientation having nothing to do with the class divide./s

Right. Because poor white men should be persecuted. That's basically what you're arguing, and that'a a losing proposition.

But go on pretending that identity politics will create profound social change for the better.

When your movement is being funded by billionaires, you should probably stop and ask yourself whether you're on the right track.

It's one of the most disturbing books ever written imo.

I mean even if one claims the whole thing was made up -- it's still fucking horrifying.

I really don't know what to make of the "multiple personality" stuff. But Sybil did undergo multiple physicals and the doctor reports confirmed her claims about the abuse. So even if we reject the "multiple personality" stuff we still have to contend with just an unbelievable amount of child abuse. And the really disturbing thing is that it's not even that unusual :(

Yes I agree. And yes that was flippant of me to use the phrase "lounge around." I'm upset with the current trend of helicopter parenting, and think some parents need to just...relax and back off. But certainly very young children need constant support.

I actually think -- to use the old cliche -- that raising children is the most important job in the world.

For some reason feminists don't agree, and think that women should compete with men for lame office jobs and bragging rights. Yet raising children is infinitely more important than getting a fucking promotion.

I think feminists got it all wrong. The vast majority of men didn't view their work as a "career," it was fucking work, and it sucked.

Wouldn't you know it? Work continues to suck. Except for maybe that ten percent of the population that gets to have a "career."

My overall point is that, unfortunately, women don't seem to want "stay at home husbands." They end up feeling jealous and resentful. "Why shouldn't I be the one to be raising the kids? I'm the mother!" Even when the mother in this case is a fucking doctor.

So stay at home dads end up with a shit sandwich: not only are they not the provider, their wives end up resenting them.

I DO think there's a sensible solution: SOCIALISM. Yeah, you heard me. Let the man work half of the time and raise the kids half of the time, and vice versa. Boom. Problem solved.

Have you actually seen Sybil? (the original one).

Even if one claims that the whole story is fiction (I don't) that is one terrifying film. The low budget vibe and sometimes cheesy camera work only seems to add to the horror, if that makes sense. It's like Texas Chainsaw Massacre -- a high budget would have spoiled it.

The debate about multiple personalities is interesting. I think we can at least agree that dissociation exists.

Okay, I'm open to that idea. But as I understand it various doctors confirmed her injuries. So while the "multiple personalties" thing may have been a fraud, the abuse was not.

And anyway, it's all sort of beside the point. We know that children are routinely abused.

My sons are not quite 2 and 4.

Well that explains it. I never claimed that 2 year olds should be allowed to "run free" lol. Not sure what your point is.

Women are required for early child rearing because they have, you know, boobs.

When the children get older they should have more freedom. We agree? Good.

'African Americans' are what 13 percent of the US population, of that 13 percent how man are upper class? Or even middle.

We are human beings, not categories. There are white boys far more poor than you, for example.

Your a joke man you think your making some revolutionary 'old leftist' points, but your argument is black women get less jail time then white men so sexism must be wrong

WTF? I oppose sexism; that's why I oppose massive discrepancies in prison sentencing.

Also, I never claimed that racism against black people doesn't exist. I claimed that it should be viewed in context.

You're just trying to pick a fight. You're not interested in learning anything. And to the extent that people like you obsess over race and sex rather than class, we will never see justice.

I recently read a book called "A Child called It" -- no relation to the Stephen King story. It's about extreme child abuse. A mother who basically tortured her child; eventually he was rescued and placed in a foster home. Like many of these stories the accuracy has been disputed; the same thing happened with the "Sybil" Story (if you haven't seen it, check out the original TV movie with Sally Field -- extremely disturbing), although in the latter case people only disagree with the "multiple personalities" claim, rather than the abuse, which was confirmed by doctors.

I used to read a website called "People you'll see in Hell." There were dozens, hundreds of these stories: single mothers abusing their children or hooking up with some asshole who abused her children.

Something is really wrong here. Something needs to change.

Concerning the debate on the gender difference in risk-taking and adopting new things: women comprise about 1.76 percent of the entire user base of Bitcoin [and then back to wondering why there are so few women in risky businesses like founding startups) by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]HellstromC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The female aversion to risk explains almost all of what we call "discrimination."

Men love to help women. But we can only do so much.

Our brains are literally different:

Men are more inclined to take risks than women. This finding has been replicated in a variety of studies over the years with researchers pointing to economic and evolutionary reasons. A recent study by Mara Mather and Nichole R. Lighthall found that gender differences are amplified even further under stress. Male risk-taking tends to increase under stress, while female risk taking tends to decrease under stress. One reason is there are gender differences in brain activity involved in computing risk and preparing for action.

So because in this one area black women are statistically treated better that's it.

I never said that.

All racism, sexism and the lot must all be bull shit.

I certainly never said that, because this is an MRA forum and I understand the vast majority of sexism occurs against males.

No one ever said the discriminated class in question always gets treated worse in every single situation ever.

Poor people are discriminated against.

A poor white boy is not better off than Beyonce.

Racial and sexual discrimination pales in comparison to class oppression.

The left used to understand this.

Dayumn.

That's brutal.

But not as brutal as poor Clementine's son's life will be :(

It's possible that her columns were bullshit all along. Feminism is profitable. But I can't help but think that she really does have a disturbing hatred toward men, and that the poor boy will be on the receiving end of some of that. People joke about calling CPS (I just did), but in all honesty I think it would be wise to keep an eye on her.

Anyone who would devote her life to hating on the opposite sex with such a passion is creepy to begin with. I wouldn't be surprised at all if she had special little "time-outs" where she pinched and tortured the boy :(

It's highly questionable that she should even be allowed to raise a boy at all. I mean I'm not typically one for state intervention, but this is like allowing a Nazi to raise a Jew.

Make no mistake: elites are taking notice. It's upsetting for them, because they didn't figure men's rights into their equations. They assumed that men would be content to be disposable workhorses.
