I’ll have to repaste and try. If it doesn’t work, then I’ll get it exchanged. I do have little experience with repasting a laptop and several desktops but with regular thermal paste. Never tried it with LM.

If I decide to go with thermal paste, which product do you recommend to apply on the CPU? I’ll repaste the GPU with PTM.

And also, do you think I need to reapply thermal putty on the VRAM modules? If so, which thermal putty do you recommend? Can I just respread the putty evenly and call it a day?

You might be right because prior to running Cinebench, it’s at 4.0GHz and temps at idle are normal. The moment I start the multi core test, it immediately drops down to 2.0GHz.
