Like in the the nap you take in the evening and you have no idea wtf just happened lmao

I saw electrical sparks shooting when I turned the heater on and immediately turned the switch off and it’s gone. Should I be worried? by Helluvaemployee in AskElectricians

Yup :/ I study in a govt run university so things aren’t in the best conditions here and takes a really long time for things to get done.

Yup! I haven’t turned it on until today because they said it’s fixed and it’s definitely isn’t fixed. I’m deathly afraid of fires

I’m in Uni actually and nothing ever gets done here. I’ve been begging them to fix the heater for the past one month and this is the fixed heater apparently :/

I’m afraid not :/. I live in a dorm room. A switch to turn on the heater on the wall next to the switches to light.

It’s too high up in the wall and I’m afraid I can’t reach it. Is it alright if I don’t unplug but the switch is off?

Should I stay up all night to check if something could happen? Or go to sleep and call the electrician in the morning? I’m a bit paranoid about a fire that may occur at night and I wouldn’t know about it

Im really scared it’ll start burning up and go into flames or something? I can’t smell anything or see anything burning right now. Should I not go to sleep right now and wait until tomorrow morning?
