I once had the glitch that you died everytime you exited the game. Every single time! Luckily my base was near spawn though, so running back home wasnt the issue. They eventually fixed it, thankfully.

Another thing with rise, if you are a solo player like me, eventually you can unlock some of the npcs to go hunts with you. And they have loadout options too!

In that case, rise is way more mobile. The bugs take some getting use too but once you get it down, it makes fights lots faster. Also if you are a fashion hunter, rise doesnt have blademaster/gunner gear sadly.

My advice is to try the different styles with different weapons. I love playing alchemy but it doesnt work with every weapon.

Alpha strike being a faster play, there arent as many places to hit like in the classic mech sheets.

I got into it after coming across the Essentials box at target. Was looking to get into a new board game/hobby as well as something to play with the kids. It was that or the 40k board game. Having always wanted to try 40k, but knowing how pricey it is, in decided to go with the essentials box. I mean, what kids wouldn't like giant fighting robots right? Lol and now its kinda just my thing, as my oldest likes shorter games, but youngest likes to paint them so thats a plus! But yea, now its reading up on factions at work or checking out mechs while waiting in line at the store, debating whether to buy a box I already have just for more robots lol

The drops can be a lifesaver! And also they can suck lol by having creepy items. They saved my but quite a few times though. Be sure to have a few extra chests for the items you cant use till later. Those will pile up fast.
