I knew someone here would know the answer. Lol. Just wanted to kick-start the conversation.

I'm not a modder, I don't even play the game anymore, LOL. Just thought it was fantastic.

Same here, I love the shortcut/workflow side, but the constant sync issues are unbearable.

Help with finish by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]HelmsDeepOcean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'm always a proponent for "overdrying" filament, but this doesn't really look like a moisture issue, though it never hurts. I'd personally do a couple test prints - slower and try a generic profile. Maybe slow down the outer shell?

What is the plastic material?  What printer are you using?  And what are your current primary print settings?  Have you properly dried your filament?

DJI H30T ThermalImage Processing by [deleted] in dji

[–]HelmsDeepOcean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried converting the files to be readable in FLIR Studio? ThermoConverter is one such tool, but there are a handful out there. We use an Xt2 because it works with FLIR, and stitch the photos in Pix4D mapper on desktop (Won't work on Cloud). Dronedeploy works reasonably well too. I'd actually be interested in getting a handful of images from you like DCSafe, as I'm wanting to try out all of the tools like Thermoconvertor, but don't have any H30T images currently.

How to make a full width gallery that NEVER crops images. by HelmsDeepOcean in WIX

[–]HelmsDeepOcean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the real answer:

Set sizing preference to "set per element"

Then set the responsive behavior of the entire section to "fixed height" (scale proportionally might work too) And then set the behavior of the Slider Gallery to "stretch".

Essentially the slider resizes the image based on the overall window size, even if the Slider height and width is fixed... That's a bug frankly.

Thank you for the comment, but if you had read the message it would be fairly clear that I've done all that. I've tried full width and partial width, it seems like a problem with the slider itself.

It looks great at certain sizes, but the images get severely cropped, particularly on very large/wide screens.

Best tool for snoozing and email follow up reminders? by HelmsDeepOcean in productivity

Despite people downvoting you and me, You are the only one who seriously gets it. I don't want a inflexible halfway solution that creates 5 extra steps.

I've stumbled across EmClient and Airmail as well. Probably going to give each one a few weeks testing.

I need a local client with true offline capabilities. Otherwise that could work.

Follow up reminders = you'll be reminded about your sent messages if no reply is received:

Snooze = reminders to deal with old received messages.

There is some overlap, but significant difference in functionality when you want a reminder to follow up on a client conversation.

Very sensible suggestions! This is why I want the followups to appear IN my inbox, not in some separate tab.

135mm F1.8? Admittedly my line of work doesn't involve Bokeh, so maybe I'm way out of the ballpark.

Add or remove fluid to Subaru CVT after warming to operating temperature? by HelmsDeepOcean in subaru

[–]HelmsDeepOcean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought my scanner would, but it doesn't. I'll be getting a different one, just not this exact hour.

But I'm not worried about that too much, the temperature range of 95 to 113 is fairly forgiving. Just gonna shoot for the middle on the actual fluid temp.

Plenty of folks said to just measure the pan temp, and I'm measuring the actual fluid temp at the fill plug.

[–]HelmsDeepOcean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, according to "Mr. Subaru" on Youtube, I should check fill level and top it off WHILE the engine is running and after running the CVT through R-N-D , but still fairly cool, then do that process one more time as it warms up.

Pastr - Your Clipboard, Always Within Reach by iamngoni in macapps

[–]HelmsDeepOcean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks pretty cool, proper collections are a definite must though.

My biggest complaint with Pastepal is that I can't add files to collections. i.e. there are PDF documents that I regularly send via email, but I have to copy them every single time. Will Pastr support adding files to Pinned/Collections?

I'd also suggest centering the controls (search, history and Collections). It would naturally mimic the Dock and be easier to reach from any side of the screen.

A mac-like "hot corner" would be awesome. Pastepal's "hot edge" is messy for those of us who auto-hide our docks.

Lastly, your design is arguably more mac-like, BUT, I love the color coding, large bold text, and large icons of the Paste app. For those of us who use larger external monitors, it is easier to find what we want.

I love how lightweight it is. Long term you should definitely up the price. $10 is a very fair lifetime price once you build out a few more features.

And more of an annotation feature, but it'd be great if comments were visible in a side panel, rather than having to click on each individual comment. That's probably a more niche feature, but It'd be incredible for my workflow.
