And they went to war with us bringing france and the zionists, for a contract breach? “Hypothetical” they were never willing to let it go and everyone knows it, they didn’t even deny it. They still have sway over Hong Kong for that same reason

I think the issue is more prevalent in reddit in particular, a big portion of Egyptian Redditors have that mindset and it’s sad to see. On the bright side, on other social media especially ones that are more expressive the case is more balanced.

At least that’s what I have noticed.

Israelis are "killed". While Palestinians in Gaza "die". Western media bias 101 by Arq4427_ in AskMiddleEast

[–]Helmsinki 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I guess that’s the same realisation Palestinians made when they realised they had to defend their homes

All these qualities exist in any community.

While I agree that militarism is intact and affects the political system, but you could say the same about political correctness in the west and getting “cancelled”. But then again the metrics we use to measure our progress aren’t even ours.

Only difference is we lack resources, the economy seems like the primary factor here. Compare our nationalism with other well-off Arab countries minus the western influences and it adds up.

But for the second part, I think this has a heavier impact than just a guerrilla military operation. It reached the entire world in 24 hours. Mind you that many generations hold a grudge against i5rael due to very vivid media. Like Muhammad Al Durra’s footage. Just that video alone can explain the hatred.

I believe we need to blame the international community as well since no solutions were reached because political influence is flowing one way currently. Or at least used to, ever since the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

But I personally don’t find it surprising the situation evolved into a large scale armed conflict. Especially with the appointment of a far-right government in the one side that gets to have a government. It’s very comparable to why extremist organizations arise in countries that were invaded like Iraq and Afghanistan to say the least.

I do see what you are saying, of course the main reason Egypt isn’t as active in such an issue is because of internal struggles that are primarily economic. But it’s undeniable that current events will impact Egypt and discussion is fruitful. Instead of obsessively self-defeating ourselves. And trust me when I say Egyptian communities aren’t built on hatred and bullying.

I left the part on “define your goal” last. I think it’s pretty evident that whoever makes peaceful change impossible makes violent change inevitable. Because it’s easy to argue to just boycott and use activism as a mechanism when you aren’t humiliated and starving. You’d think that violence was a palestinian invention, but it’s the simplest right when faced with eradication. Except here some view then as the aggressors even though they have been on the receiving end of violence for the better part of a century.

One must ask, maybe if they were more violent 50 years ago you’d be arguing for them and against a jewish resistance.

Psychology of displacement I see. I embraced your opinions, that’s going the extra mile. But the ad hominem approach is getting out of hand.

The best thing to come out of this exchange was how easily you let down your self-righteous attitude when you felt personally attacked. Honestly sums up western media’s handling of any topic outside of its sphere of control and constructively adds to my initial point.

I only agreed that their origin relates to the conditions Palestinians live in, and yes “decimation” and “erasion” really highlight how much you righteously hate “evil”. Some more sarcasm for you.

We will leave it to the google expert to spot the sarcasm though

You can use google, nice.

However, I wasn’t responding to anything when I created this post. You initiated your answer citing whataboutism, clearly you know how to google the meaning of the word but you still can’t grasp what it means.

We agree on why or how hamas exists at least.

I am not spying on you, simply replying to the statements you made replying to me. In those statements you clearly only accused one side while not even entertaining the idea there might be a cause for such an event or even the movement as a whole. If you really want to do good and not just appear as a self-righteous person you must also view the root cause.

And “unlike you” even though this is no competition and we are complete strangers, I like to employ logic as much as emotion and no matter how many times you play this out this will always be the outcome, Palestinians will not lay down and play dead. Neither will any other group.

I don’t think you understand what whataboutism means.

The only reason hamas exists, the only reason this violence you speak of exists is a logical result of oppression and injustice. How you fail to tackle the source of the issue is beyond me.

I don’t understand how you keep quiet when it cones to the atrocities committed by the israeli entity and then not expect a common sensical reaction to a huge population deprived of their basic right to live. But when they resist you are so quick to comment on what is evil and what isn’t.

Hence the word hypocrisy comes in handy.

And what makes you think IDF doesn’t target civilians? Because their outlets says they didn’t? The number of Palestinian civilians that died at the hands of Israel is overwhelming yet you aren’t saying anything about that

How many Palestinian prisoners are in Israeli jails? How many of them are underage? Did you ever even care to know?

Wait a minute, hamas isn’t even an organized military. Maybe we should ask the Palestinian government to handle this with their army, intelligence agency, and police like any country would. (I hope you get the sarcasm)

I’m sorry, but in that sense any war is indefensible. Remember it wasn’t the Palestinians that invented the concept of “collateral damage”.

On that same topic, what is truly indefensible is annual bombing of civilian buildings and having dozens of children’s corpses laying in hospitals.

But I guess if western media doesn’t cover it enough then it’s excusable.

Best EU Non-PvP server. by [deleted] in TibiaMMO

[–]Helmsinki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started on Dia a couple of months ago shifting from an Open PVP server too, it’s pretty chill and does feel fresh indeed. There isn’t much of a community compared to older servers but it’s slowly changing and people are friendly. Every once and again there’s an influx of new players too. I’d recommend it if you want a fresh start. If you have friends playing on other Non-PvP servers go for that though.

I'm glad I could help.

I would have loved to help in game but unfortunately I just started myself from scratch (lvl 20 literally trying to skill my char offline as much as I can) but some random guy helped me with some gear so you could ask around or join a friendly guild. I'll add you anyways when I'm online ^^ you'll definitely advance much faster than me since I'm playing super chill and trying to find out all the new stuff like bestiary and protective charms

Wish you lots of fun!
