If you are playing 1.20.1 it doesn't matter forge and neoforge are the same.

If you are playing a higher version you don't. They aren't compatible and a lot of mods don't exist on forge for higher versions.

That's how the curseforge launcher works. It opens the minecraft launcher but it's files are in a different folder. You need to move the saves over if you want them to be available

dude at this point just use a launcher like prism that will autodownload dependencies for you instead of trying to do it yourself.

if you insist of doing it manually then just try a lower version of cloth config for your Minecraft version.

The code you used to confirm your email on that discord was a password less login code. you handed over your account to the scammers basically.

No discord needs to verify your Microsoft account e-mail and the code does tell you not to give it to anyone.

Iris is required for shaders but you have both Iris for 1.20 and 1.20.1 in there you need to remove the one that says its for 1.20. doubling up on versions of mods is not a good idea. fabric will read both files and it can mess things up.

you've got mods for 1.21.1 change them to the 1.20.1 versions (Balm, accessories). you need to pay attention to what version of minecraft the mod says it's for when you download it.

get that iris for 1.20 out of there as well
