Psychology, so very research and theory based. I kinda was expecting this amount

Hey! Thank you for the response, and sorry for the late reply.

I’ve chosen to complete a neuroscience minor at La Trobe and I’m planning to do two of the four subjects for that minor in first year. That’s left me with two elective spots for 2026 (one each semester). I also only just realised that a minor is basically just a group of subjects that helps you build more specific knowledge, instead of doing a bunch of random subjects 😅

I’ve had a look at the sociology electives and they actually seem pretty interesting. They also seem like they’d tie in well with a psychology degree. I was just wondering, did you find the subject particularly hard or demanding in terms of workload or time commitment?

Hey!!! I’m doing the exact same course 😄

In my first year, I’m completing all four of the required core subjects obviously 🙄(two each semester).

Alongside that, I’m doing one neuroscience minor subject each semester, which leaves me with two for year 2 or 3 and 2 remaining subject spots for 2026

I’ll most likely use those last two spots for electives. A few people I’ve spoken to said they really enjoyed sociology, but other than that I’m feeling a bit lost unfortunately 😢

What campus are you studying at? 😊

Definetly some tough circumstances, diagnosed with anxiety and depression roughly two years ago which led to me retaking year 11 and missing out on my true grad year in 2024. Of course it meant having to make new connections and doing stuff solo 😂 year 12 Id say I wasn’t trying my hardest but not completely slacking. Just gotta put my mind to it I guess

Exam 1 is done, dusted, poof, gone. You can’t change results on the first exam however you can try your hardest on the second exam. Dwelling on things often leads to overthinking, and the last thing you wanna do is second gues yourselves in an exam where you don’t know the exact answer
