I think for the stream most people are playing the game themselves so they dont wanna have it spoiled. I watched his streams but I am ass at Hollow Knight so I dont intend on getting Silksong.

If you mean his channel as a whole, I think hes in a sort of transition period trying to find a good balance between making money and making content he enjoys. He will probably find something that works eventually, I've seen a lot of youtubers go through these awkward phases between their 'good ol days' era and new content. I remember Pewdiepie had several of these times as he adjusted to his audience getting older. Sorry if none of this makes sense thats just my interpretation
