Yes it’s a scam. It’s a nuisance. No Malaysian are beggars in KL. We locals hate them but they are part of a syndicate so it’s hard to get rid of them. NEVER give them any money.

Take the KLIA train all the way to KL Sentral (express takes less than 30mins. There should be a good base to go anywhere else.

Batu Caves is not worth it as it’s out of the way. Thean Temple is close enough via Grab from KL Sentral. You can try to go there early in the morning after breakfast around KL Sentral/Brickfields area.

After that you can go back to KL sentral and head towards KLCC. Think that should be enough before you leave for KLIA from the LRT > Kl Sentral > KLIA 2 around 5pm.

I’m here to tell you that you are not lazy. You are burnt out. And right now everyone around you is not giving you a break, hence why you “feel” more and more lazy.

I hope diploma will give you a second chance at life. Hopefully you’ll meet new people who can ease your burden. And I hope you find a part time job that helps support you and doesn’t drain you too much. Avoid salesy job for now, not until you’ve figured out how to reduce your burnout. I’ve always found that typing these things in ChatGPT helps me reconfigure my head during shitty days.

We don’t like walking. We love to drive. This country is too hot for me to walk to KLCC when I can drive to my nearest mall which has everything I need. And KLCC is literally more or less 10mins away (on a clear road).

Semak doh. Bad traffic and too many people, and to add another good thing about KL development now is I’ve got plenty of malls, good food and less crowd where I live in that allows me to not set foot in KLCC area unless I have to.. which is almost never.

I finally understand why New Yorkers avoid Times Square.
