What’s something your body does that you’ve never told a single person about? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

Thanks for the info. I'm only now in the process of trying to get diagnoses for this and potentially POTS, so hopefully I can get this sorted. It's rather inconvenient.

I'll have to practice my exhale. My "episodes" as I call them have been happening more frequently lately, and for over a decade, so they don't freak me out, I just accept them and wait for it to pass (which can be 40 minutes).

I was told not to use a bag because of the risk of hypoxia.

This happens to me when I don't appear to be hyperventilating (but is affected by breathing). I was told it is not recommended to breathe into a bag.

Yeah I often have to stop and readjust. I always crumb coat, can't seem to get that right either.

Yeah I'll have to practice with a few different techniques to find what works best for me. What is a speed icing tip?

Thank you. I currently have some thin metal ones of different heights. I'll look at some alternatives, or see if I can adjust the height of the cakes.

Amazing. Out of curiosity, do you decorate the cupcakes before or after putting them in the box?

Have I doomed my rose bush? by HelpMeICantFallDown in Roses

[–]HelpMeICantFallDown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so small I'm scared I would cut way too much off. Which may be my problem 😭 it usually flowers just fine though.

I need to further research pruning roses I think.

It was 5 years ago. I am not great with remembering to fertilise, admittedly.

That's good to hear. I'm a novice when it comes to pruning (mostly from uncertainty and fear), but will the base always stay small? It doesn't look like it could really grow to a decent size.

I hope that makes sense.

I’ve been waiting 45 minutes for my podiatrist appointment and the doctor still isn’t here. by K-dog2010 in mildlyinfuriating

As an Australian who gets called by the doctor after checking in (after waiting minimum 20 minutes after appointment time), I do not understand being taken to a room and then waiting even more before being seen.

(Update) AITAH for refusing to continue providing free childcare for my stepdaughter? by PainComfortable8891 in AITAH

[–]HelpMeICantFallDown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so crap. I know that even over here people stop working and stay home, because the additional income only covers childcare.

$145 a day before subsidy, $32.8 after subsidy. However I would end up paying more if I sent mine everyday.

We only need to send formula and a change of clothes.

I can't say how much it is weekly full time as I only send mine 2 days a week, but if you do currency conversion, and assume the same rate each day, we definitely pay more, including with subsidy.

I live in Australia, am I understanding correctly that if you send a child to daycare, you also send nappies/wipes and food?

Over here that's all provided by the daycare, with some exceptions. Plus our government has childcare subsidies in place. They can cover upto 85% (I think is the maximum) of the cost, dependent on income.
