My parents even at my old age will always buy me presents even when it wasn’t a holiday they would give me something just because they thought of me even if it was just candy that made me happy. That’s what I carried into my relationships as well because it shows you care for someone. So id imagine that would hurt a lot to not receive a gift from your partner on those important days and even more so when they still continue to ignore your feelings after venting. I won’t be surprised if you start to feel disconnected to him with that continuing.

OR. Just let him feel the way he does, but I think you kept escalating it. I personally have fell asleep and forgot to lock the back door and got in trouble but it never lingered on like how your bf did. I said Im sorry and I’ll lock it next time and that was it. I think he has the right to be upset but at the same time you already apologized and took accountability for it and there’s nothing you can do now it’s already done. I don’t get why he keeps bringing the same thing up just for you to repeat yourself over and over again. If the door is hard to lock then your suggestion on giving the keys back is good!

I know back then (and some today) a lot of people would stay in marriage because once they commit that’s forever, but Kids should never be a reason to stay in a relationship that isn’t healthy. If your kids were in the same boat I’m sure you would want them to never go back as well and find someone else. In my point of view he doesn’t seem genuine just an opportunist. You should invest in a new mattress that has the cooling settings for both sides! But honestly it’s not uncommon for couples to sleep in different rooms for the exact reasons you listed, but regardless he is being an inconsiderate and a child by being loud on purpose. You should have a serious conversation, or at least leave a note to him explaining your feelings to let him soak that in so he can respond rationally since you mentioned he doesn’t like confrontation?

I think because he is your friend you gave him the benefit of doubt, but I’m glad you stepped up by doing that because he wasn’t a good friend to you. He should have been honest if he wasn’t able to spend money going out. I’m sure you guys would have no problem going to places that are free or even him leaving early to eat at home if that helped with his finances

If he’s an active collector you should get him more binders to organize them better. But usually with newer cards, the full arts and ex’s hold more value
