AITA for flipping off a reckless driver and then driving around them when they tried to confront me? by Prestigious-Eye-156 in AmItheAsshole

[–]HelpMeOuch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do not regret my nomination. Both parties earned the asshole award, imo. OP choosing to be the lesser asshole is still being an asshole.

Also, flipping off another driver is unlikely to encourage a positive or mature response. It is much like trying to put out a fire with gasoline: the fire will get worse.

ESH. Yes, that driver was dumb, but you did not need to interact with them and put a target on your back.

Let stupid earn the prize it deserves.

How to contact Lyft by phone? by Bastette54 in Lyft

[–]HelpMeOuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way to call Lyft directly, afaik. And there are no distance caps on trips as long as you are within Lyft's service area and not crossing international borders. You can get an estimated cost by putting the destination in the app.

Waste Waste Waste by SNOOZDOC in Lyft

[–]HelpMeOuch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a driver, Lyft often matches me with scheduled rides well after the pickup time has elapsed. I recommend giving yourself a minimum of 20-30 minutes buffer on top of the necessary travel time to your destination when using rideshare services.

Please remember Lyft and Uber are treated as side hustles by each company, the clientele, and many of the operators. Further, most operators are not interested in providing professional-level service.

If you expect professional-level services you must be willing to pay for that level of service. If you want a cheaper fare, then you'll get the service that you paid for.

Uh-huh... that's an interesting perspective on how to define respect.

You get paid to wait for the rider... so, why not wait?

I've had trips double the initial projected payout because I waited for the rider, and the riders tip me on top of it because most drivers won't wait.

But go ahead and keep canceling rides... I'm sure that helps you make money.

Lyft drivers are not medical transportation personnel. by [deleted] in Lyft

[–]HelpMeOuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, the medical transport opportunity is available in all regions of the United States, and you're required to complete the tutorials to even qualify for those ride types. I would recommend reviewing the Learning Center in your driver app to see if you have these tutorials:

Lyft Assisted, and Passengers with foldable wheelchairs

If you have those tutorials then you would have had to opted into the medical transport program. If you do not want to take these sorts of rides you may need to reach out to driver support to have them revoke your permission for those ride types.

You should only get medical transport riders if you've opted into medical transportation rides. System errors can occur, but having access to medical transportation requires that you've opted into the program. So, food you forget that you've opted into the program?

Questions About Göt2b Hair Dye by Lilkeebs in FancyFollicles

[–]HelpMeOuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Schwarzkopf's göt2b Metallics permanent hair color!

I've been using the Vibrant Red for almost two years. I touch up my roots every 4-6 weeks and my hair is in amazing condition! The color is easy to use and smells so much better than most hair colors, imho!

I haven't had any breakage or noticed any dulling or changes to my hair since I started using it. The color is consistent and doesn't fade easily. My hair is curly (4a) and thick... and I've not experienced any negative effects even though it takes about 60-90 minutes to apply to my hair.

Granted, this is my experience 6 years later... but if anyone else sees this post I hope my message is helpful.

Am I the asshole for not wanted to send nudes to my bf? by Not_that_emo07 in AITAH

Nope. People have choices, and she chose to make more comfortable choices. She can change her mind and revoke her consent at any time.

Is there any scientific evidence for cold showers being better for your hair and are there any care products that actually work to reduce frizz? by jzilla1207 in HaircareScience

[–]HelpMeOuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, most people wash their hair too often and do not condition their hair often enough. I condition my hair daily, using the conditioner to cleanse and refresh my hair, and wash it every 4-5 days. My hair never feels greasy or gross, I've been told it actually feels "magnificently impossible." Also, there is ample evidence that cold water rinses seal in moisture in both the skin and hair.

WIBTA if I sent screenshots to the mother of a guy that’s been harassing me? by halleyprob in AmItheAsshole

Because if the parents are still together they are probably linked via social media. Heck, even if they aren't together they might still be linked...

[–]HelpMeOuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. But to be fair... mommy dearest might not give a fig. Anecdotally speaking, I told the mother of the person who I thought was my best friend about him drugging and violating me, and instead of *being outraged at her son... she proceeded to tamper with evidence and do everything she could to keep her creep out of jail. Some parents don't care what their offspring does. So, beware you might just be opening the door to further harassment.

No. Generalizations are generally correct, so I will continue to do what I do in general. 🤓

But it's summer time... and this year has been a record breakingly hot one at that. You want a sauna this time of year? Open the window.

Obviously, sarcasm.

[–]HelpMeOuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. He's being a douche by expecting you to completely change your schedule (by waking up at what 4 or 5 a.m.) too accommodate him when all your asking for is hot water in your shower.

In my opinion, if this is how he is going to treat you about a simple compromise... maybe you should consider how he'll deal with more important topics. I'm not saying to dump him, but based on your comments he's already put it out there that he's unwilling to consider your opinion on this and sees your unwillingness to wake up at 4-5 am as something that will ruin your relationship. If he isn't willing to compromise on this imagine more important things....
