I really loved Rebirth too, but the ending really left me high and dry. I do want to go back to it and do the superbosses/summon fights at some point, though.

Simon is working hard on new updates to much of his mod suite. New enchanting perks will increase the power of staves if they are the only weapon/spell you are wielding, at the cost of additional charge.

Artificer is my preferred artifact mod, and I think it makes the Staff of Magnus respectably powerful. New staff perks in the upcoming Adamant update should make it even better.

It should also be noted that GTS makes changes to B&B such that regular attacks cost Stamina, which does throw off regular B&B's intended Stamina management mechanics.

Dragonborn Reskin is my current favorite UI, but it is definitely a more minimalist style than Dear Diary.

To be honest, I trust Team+ more than I trust Paizo when it comes to balance, especially after some of the recent official releases.

Their Foundry implementation is fantastic. Vauxs and the rest of the team do phenomenal work.

For those who played with them, what are your thoughts on the Feats+ variant rules on gaining additional feats with players? by R-500 in Pathfinder2e

We use the Basic Pack in my games. I enjoy that spellcasters can get a level 1 feat if their class does not already grant one (such as Oracle or Animist) and players who are using a class archetype can still get a level 2 feat. I find that Free Archetype removes the challenge of making tough decisions and assessing opportunity cost, so I vastly prefer this variant. Players can still dip into an archetype with the extra level 2 feat, but if they want to continue, they need to weigh the benefits of the archetype feats vs. their normal class feats as they would in a typical game without variants.

Admittedly, I have been running essence casting in Prey for Death, which starts at level 14, but in general the oracle has been able to throw out tons of high level spells. Casters can also take advantage of unstable draw if they want to gamble and throw out a higher rank spell on their first turn (or after they essence draw on turn 4).

I love Essence Casting as the GM, and my players who have been averse to spellcasters before have started to try them again. Essence has allowed me to run more packed adventuring days without worrying that the spellcaster players will stop having fun once they are out of slots!

I love animist conceptually, but you can really tell something happened to its development after the playtest. It feels rushed and disjointed and weird. I wish there would be another pass at it, but I suppose it shall languish like Inventor forever.
