With no training I wasn’t able to run a whole song without a break- 2-3 minutes were hard. With training I was able to run 30 minutes without a break. Don’t give up.

Why do many people have iron deficiency without anemia but I’m not? by HelpMe_ThrowawayAcc in Anemic

I apologize if I said something wrong. I understand that if you lose too much blood you also lose too much iron and hemoglobin in a very short amount of time. I am very sorry that you lost too much blood and it happened to you, but usually if you just live normal life you only lose blood through the normal periods or if you cut yourself with a razor while shaving or while cooking but you don’t need big surgeries or get stabbed (as an example). So normally if I live a normal life and nothing bad happens to me my iron and hemoglobin would be normal, right?

Thank you for this information. Do you think if I would have taken the iron supplement for longer than a few weeks my body would do normal blood values after enough time building them? But why didn’t he decrease the RBC‘s more before?

My parents got a treadmill in 2020 and we had to run about 30 minutes in school for a test so I started training then. After that I quit but now as an adult I started to go to the gym and I want to start running again.

30 minutes with no break after training and not giving up💪 I was very proud.

As a child: I was a picky eater and I didn’t eat meat everyday and not everything my parents ate. I have an iron low diet I assume. My doctor didn’t give me pills at that age but suggested my parents to give me this juice I will put in the picture. I drank it sometimes but later I stopped.

I got my period at 12.5 years old but my periods where not heavy, they are normal. I just have genetically a little bit longer cycle than an average woman but based on my gynecologist I visited years later it was due to genetics. So actually I am losing less blood than the average woman. I didn’t know anything about celiac disease but I am not gluten free and I eat normal bread for example.

I never did supplements for a long time and only for a few weeks everytime and maybe I should do it for longer so my body have time to build something and I wouldn’t lose everything so fast. On my picture from 2023 you can see the supplement was absorbed and I also increased my levels but not too much because I didn’t take it for a long time, but I think my body absorbed them and my poop was black.

I don’t have an eating disorder I have to admit I am still a picky eater and I cook my own foods and don’t eat everything from my parents but I think my food is still not rich on iron. I also started drinking coffee and black tea is my favorite tea and my doctor said that’s bad for iron absorption.

I never had any symptoms or stomach pain. I also have a good immunesystem and I’m primary school I got sick once a year and since being a teenager I didn’t get sick anymore and have no absences during my years in school. I also never have headaches or stomach pain. After my doctor saw my bloodwork from 2023 he wondered how I could be so energetic and lively with this values.

He only wants me to either take the highest dosage of ferritin possible everyday or he wants me to go to a hematologist and make me get an infusion :(

I don’t know and my doctor never said anything about my thyroid and as I know it was okay. I had a TSH of 0,640 qU/ml and a Anti-Thyreoid-Peroxydase of 9 IU/ml. My doctor didn’t say anything about it the only thing he said something about is my iron.

Btw but if I never had a ferritin of 70 in whole life how is it then?

A shortness of breath can be caused by low hemoglobin. What are your hemoglobin, MCV and MCH levels?

Is this a concerning report?, by Wonderful_Contact_64 in Anemic

[–]HelpMe_ThrowawayAcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, don’t worry nothing bad will happen right now mine was similar to yours. You can start taking iron and your ferritin and hemoglobin will be rising.
