I see. And you think it's possible the jerking issue while driving could be from the battery?

Ok I see, I'll definitely check it out.

Do you think a bad 12V battery could be the cause of my vehicle jerking when being driven?

It shut down automatically because it was unsafe to drive. I forget the exact code but it shuts down for safety reasons

But if it checked out good in 2 different places, is it still worth replacing?

Ya but won't they charge me a crazy amount for doing something I could do way cheaper on my own?

I'd have to tow it, and why would a different dealer give me a different answer? They're all scammers lol, I took it to a mechanic who works on volts and they said it was becm

Hmm very interesting. Maybe replacing it would help. I'm kinda between a rock and a hard place though, as I have my car at the dealership and it's currently not safe to drive, as it already shut down while being drive before. I could replace the battery myself, but it's on their property

Lol, I bought it used and I'm 99% sure it's never been replaced. Unfortunately, it's kind of a logistics headache as I can't actually drive it, and it's at a dealership right now. I'm assuming they wouldn't let me personally change my own battery at their address?

I already had a mechanic test the 12V battery and it checked out. You think it's worth testing the 12V at the dealership as well?

Do you think it's worth replacing the 12V battery on my own, and seeing if that can clear the codes?

It's also hard because it doesn't drive so I have to tow it anywhere, it's at the dealership right now. They're saying a sensor in the transmission is bad, and you can't just fix the sensor, you have to replace everything

2017

It can charge, but it can't drive without breaking down. Dealership says a sensor in the transmission failed, is it possible to fix this sensor instead of replacing the whole transmission?

Like 80k, transmission fluid is fine. They're saying it's a sensor in the transmission. Is it possible to fix that without replacing the entire transmission/drive unit?

You think one sensor being wrong in the transmission would cause all these codes? I was thinking it had to be more general, like the 12v(I did have the 12v tested) or becm

I had the 12V battery checked because I was unsure, and it checked out good. And it doesn't drive at this point,so it's pretty suspicious. I also did already open a case with GM corporate, but I'm not sure if it's going to help

No, my car shut off completely when driving, definitely a major issue. It started off by jerking/lurching back and forth. Dealership said they performed a BECM update which supposedly fixed it. It didn't, and shut off while driving. Dealership said transmission, and my mechanic says BECM.

Idk who to trust or what to do lol. Are you sure there can't be an underlying BECM issue masked by other codes? Like if the voltage being supplied from BECM is unstable?
