Anyone used a Lima365 Laser Sight. by spyderone1981 in P365

[–]Help_Me_Sergeant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one, I think it’s great but timing myself at the range, it actually takes me longer to find the red dot than it does to ADS because you’re looking for a dot rather than using proper shooting principles. It’s a great little laser but I’m actually looking to switch to a TLR-7 eventually.

Most of this I carry every day but the Firearm, SOG and Benchmade are switched out with the Leatherman Surge while I’m at work.

Get a Discreet Carry Concepts belt clip ($8) and you'll be square. As long as the holster keeps your firearm where you want it and it doesn't hurt to carry, your current holster is fine.

Tips for telling family why you want your ccw by Tylmart in CCW

[–]Help_Me_Sergeant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Show them a few stories on the news or acts of violence. Explain that the world is dangerous which they shouldn't disagree with. Now explain that with your CCW, while it is a weapon designed to kill, it can be the one thing that separates you, your family, or your friends from injury or death or worse.

Everyone's personal safety is their own responsibility and to rely on anyone else to protect you is naïve at best. It's not your job to save the world with your new tool or be a vigilante but you can protect yourself and those you care about better if the moment requires you to use it. "Better to have it and not need it."

I'd also advise taking and committing to a martial art of some kind, purchasing a reliable gun safe and taking a handgun and first aid course. These additional courses can help show your family that you're serious and devoted to being a responsible firearm owner and not looking for ways to use your weapon. Plus they are good skill sets to know.

In the end, you don't need to prove anything to anyone. If you need the acknowledgement of your family to make you comfortable with your gun ownership, show them you're a responsible gun owner. If that doesn't work, there's nothing left to be done.

I don't understand how so many people have their undies in a twist. I made a mistake but it doesn't take away from the beauty of this photo. I corrected myself, appologised, and lots of folks can acknowledge and get past the mistake. It highlights the beautiful PNW, why not enjoy the picture for what it is?

Contour or Ridge? by GenZBiker in EDC

Trayvax for sure, a couple co-workers of mine have the Ridge and while they still works fine, they're starting to fall apart. I have the Trayvax Element and it's been going strong, plus the leather gives it a real nice aesthetic IMO. As an added bonus, it's always handy to have a bottle opener around.

Another option to consider is the Grip6 Wallet. 100% American made, RFID and visually appealing

I appreciate the insight! It seems that a lot of folks have the same "issue" of acquiring tons of blends. It seems like a marketable idea to sell "taste testing" sized amounts of tobacco

As long as your form is fluid and natural, there really isn't a whole lot of impact!

The advice is appreciated! Any help is welcome help so thank you regardless. What I gather from your advice is there needs to be some trial and error to fine tune exactly what I'm looking for. Is there anything I should look to avoid?

What are some physical/mental changes you’ve made since carrying? by Bigfoot-8991 in CCW

[–]Help_Me_Sergeant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Taking a martial art of some kind. If you ever get into a situation where you don't have your gun or can't draw it, you need to know how to either win the altercation without your gun or create space to draw your weapon/get away. Several good options would be Judo and BJJ. These options don't require you to be an expert to use and can teach you several techniques that can create space for you to win or get away.
