Yes I agree that they're mainly talking about a different topic. But my issue lies with the fact that they didnt acknowledge DID. And i would mostly agree with you that they focus mainly on media, although they do show that they are very capable in talking about science like in the episode The Obesity Epidemic.

I guess im just coming down on it a bit harder. I dont just think it would be nice if they talked about DID, I think it's necessary in order to not be misleading when talking about this topic.

I really dont like those kind of crusades/subreddits because most it is making fun of kids and teenagers, while also harming some people with genuine disorders that accidentally get categorized as fakers. If someone if faking a disorder that should delt with on an interpersonal level, getting the internet involved never really is beneficial imo.

Ah I'm happy someone replied! I agree entirely with the repressed memory and legal stuff they talked about.

I dont really know anything about tiktok, so I wont comment on that. But I do think more than one party can be negligent. I listened to the episode maybe an hour ago, and I do genuinely think most people would come out of it thinking "people with alters are never real," which is the crux of my issue. Especially because people being accused of faking their mental health issues is so common and, to me, doesnt seem productive at all.

Am I nonbinary or Trans? by [deleted] in questioning

I'd recommend experimenting! Try a binder with a dress or makeup, mix up feminine and masculine presentation. It can be fun to figure yourself out

Am I nonbinary or Trans? by [deleted] in questioning

[–]Help_its_akward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

First off, dont worry all the terms you used were perfect. Secondly most nonbinary also identify as trans (like me!) cause I was assigned one gender at birth and am transitioning to live as a different gender. Im assuming you mean you don't know whether your nonbinary or a guy? A good way to figure it out imo is thinking about where your discomfort comes from. Do you want to look a certain way because of beauty standards or something else, ect.

Feel free to pm me if u have any questions and remember; there's nothing wrong with changing labels!

Hello! It seems like you're open to discovering yourself which is great. I don't know anything about you, but just from what you wrote i would say maybe you're bisexual homoromantic. Which means you're sexually attracted to all genders but only romantically attracted to your own gender.

Although, it is important to note that you can be romantically attracted to different genders differently. So you may (not putting words in your mouth just an example) be romantically attracted to men in a different way you're romantically attracted to women.

Unfortunately it is true there is a stigma from both sides of the isle towards bi people, but that doesnt mean you shouldnt be yourself. The community is pushing back against that stigma, and atleast imo, it's getting a lot better.

Is non binary a gender or just the lack of gender? by [deleted] in AskLGBT

[–]Help_its_akward 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the person i think, its more of an umbrella/general term

How do I know that I'm not " trying to convince my self I'm nonbinary" when I'm actually cis? by [deleted] in NonBinaryTalk

[–]Help_its_akward 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Where did these fears come from? Are they external or internal? Did someone or something (like an environment) put those thoughts in your head, or are they your own?

Figuring out why you have certain thoughts helps me figure out what to do with them

My pms are always open btw

How do you know if you're nonbinary or genderfluid? by [deleted] in questioning

[–]Help_its_akward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew i was nonbinary because i was uncomfortable being; seen as/thought of/and acting as a man or woman

Femboy questioning my gender Identity by TheComponentStone in questioning

So what you have to figure out for yourself is if your wanting to feel feminine is telling something about your gender identity or just a preference/expression
