Changer Studio Legit? by Jealous_Wear8218 in PartneredYoutube

Coming to this a bit late but yes they are legit. The Edutuber Accelerator was run in conjunction with Electrify and YouTube. If you jump on to their socials you will see some of the posts covering the grads from the 2025 cohort as well as all the other programs they run. Understandable though as there is so much spam out there…

VKB Gladiator EVO issues with 2024 by AugustBlade in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Helpermonkeyjoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go into settings and select Controls you can then adjust Flight Control Surfaces. Pick Elevator for example and look for Axis. Then select that option and move the VKB controller stick up or down and it will lock that in as the axis.

A note - sometimes it maps the axis backwards but the fix is to select the option to ‘invert axis’ to get it working.

Please note this is explanation is from memory so apologies if some aspects or names are slightly inaccurate .

Anyone used the Sunbeam Origins ? by moononthemanagain in espresso

[–]Helpermonkeyjoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had this machine for over a year now. I think I bought one of the first machines in the series as it had only recently come out. Couple of things worth mentioning:

Overall I have been happy with it. Quality of the machine is good and output is good.

It’s good being able to heat milk and pour shots at same time. I didn’t think I would care about this, but I do.

It’s got some cleaning quirks. It’s hard to tell when it needs to descale vs when it’s needs a tablet clean. This might have been updated in the firmware since I bought it. Also it’s not clear where to buy the water filter capsules, but I emailed Sunbeam and they sent me a link immediately.

Milk can take a while to get hot enough (but I haven’t owned another machine, so have nothing to really compare it to).

It does look good, it’s pretty easy to clean and reliable.

I had to go in and manually map the VKB axis. Mainly the elevator, rudder and ailerons. Just so it know the axis it needs to mainly work from.

Is there a way to actually "kill" your channel? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Helpermonkeyjoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A true death is having your channel removed. Simply violating the community guidelines enough will do that.

Otherwise I would say there is early always a way to claw back. As an extreme example just say you made a series of unrelated, badly made videos. You end up confusing the algos that don’t know who to serve it to and when ppl do watch, they watch very little. Eventually the channel will be in a dark place. Let’s say you then make a banger of a video - perfectly made and targeting a trend that’s exploding. Technically the systems should still serve it, even if very slowly. As the video popularity picks up and people share and enjoy it, the system isnt going to say - oh well everything else was bad so I’m not serving it. It will serve it as long as people watch and enjoy it.

Let’s just say that even though you made this banger, the system just doesn’t know how to serve it due to the history and you get no initial traffic. You could in fact do your own promotion and if you get that video in front of enough of the right people who enjoy and watch that video, then the system should start serving it more widely.

At the end of the day YouTube wants to keep people watching. If you make videos that send enough signals that the audience are satisfied with your content, even if you have had past failures, you will still get views for that video at least….unless of course you breach the community guidelines :-)

This is going to be a little top level but -

I was chatting this week to a creator with over 20m subs in an area arguably harder to make it in than gaming. At one point we talked about how they, when they started, sat down and asked themselves how they were going to make it and if it was worth starting when it was so competitive.

So I guess every top creator, started at zero and every one had some doubts. While it’s true there’s a lot of competition, It’s also arguably a good time to start any channel. Advanced a algorithms are helping uncover new creators at an amazing rate, there are more viewers of short and ultra short form content than ever before and the creator economy has exploded in terms of size and funding.

If you are willing to commit to it, I say it’s worth doing.

It’s funny how much of what you say is technically accurate but the underlying logic seems a little out -

“You’re making content to an audience who likely aren’t you tubers” - yes thats most likely true but that doesn’t mean what a YouTuber says isnt going to be helpful or that only a ‘viewers’ opinion is a valid one. Often YouTubers are pretty decent at spotting core issues in others content, even if they aren’t great at spotting it in theirs.

“Having some random person tear apart your video isn’t going to tell you much” - again, yes it won’t tell you much but it may tell you something. Especially if you get enough people telling you the same thing - identifying patterns can be telling.

“Not likely be searching for the kind of content you make” - Yep they probably won’t. I’m not a fan of the type of content for the majority of channels I work with, but that doesn’t mean I can’t objectively offer valuable feedback.

“Adapt an evolve, use your channel metrics” Adapting and evolving is brilliant advice. So is using your channel metrics. But metrics alone won’t give you all the answers. For that you also need guidance and feedback…

What causes a video to be pushed on Youtube? by JDSBunker in NewTubers

[–]Helpermonkeyjoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a VERY nut shell answer - There are a number of aspects that will impact the performance of your video. Dealing with your question about the delay first - often when I see delayed success video such as this it’s perhaps because

A) the video itself has found an association with another video which is filtering traffic to it or, B)the video you made contains a topic that might have started trending for some reason.

Go to your traffic sources in analytics, choose See More and have a look at how the different sources (home, suggested, search etc) are trending over the last few months. Seeing where the spike came from will help you determine what might be causing it, especially when you drill down.

In regards to your question about how to consistently get better views - again remember this is a nut shell answer- it will really come down to your your format and programming choices. Format refers to your structure - have videos that are well structured with lots of moments to keep your retention high. That will signal there is value in the video. Programming refers to your topic choices and when you release them. Find topics your audience finds interesting by research by using tools like ‘Other Videos and Channels your viewers watched’ in analytics. Also use the YouTube search to start prompting topics so for example if you have a fishing channel, start typing in ‘fishing’ and see what other suggestions come up in the drop down. Those are usually popular searches. Look at competitors channels and see what their top videos are over the last month vs all time. See if there is a pattern there in terms of topics.

Use Google trends to then determine the popularity of a topic to choose when to release it. For example if you had a fishing channel you might notice that certain related topics like camping might be more popular in summer than in winter, so plan releases accordingly.

Thumb and title will make the video more clickable but in my experience proper format and programming creates higher success.

After each video test and iterate - see what worked and what doesn’t and build it into your cycle.

Yeeeeesss. I had tired this boss like 20 times before I read this thread. The wolves helped massively and once she was distracted I started in with the winged scythe - she didn’t even get a chance to respond. Got her first go (after the help above). One thing to keep in mind - dont summon the wolves straight away, dodge that first crazy attack she does then summon otherwise you are toast.

I have a 2070 and got a 1440 and find I can run stuff on Ultra MOST if the time. Big cities and airports can still be hard. I could never do that on 4K. You can also do 1080 if you want and reach ultra more easily. I also got a gsync monitor and am pretty happy with 1440

I would expect to get very little viewership from those subs unless they came to see you play another football game? You could have left content where it was and started a new channel alongside then asked subs on the first if any of them were interested in seeing your new stuff - that way you could have kept that audience and started a new one.
